Yes, it probably still uses the old libs. It is ready when it is ready or
someone else submits a patch.

This might be because in kicad 4 the footprints where downloaded on 
demand via the github plugin.
With the new library setup (single repository for all footprints) this 
is no longer possible.


I assume some packages for other operating systems might have a similar 
problem
