Alain,

Please give me some other hints .

I have tryed to do everyting that has crossed trough my mind :
- unsitalled and reinstalled the kicad (stable and svn versions)
- deleted all edges and draw them again
- deleted globally tracks
- deleted some mounting holes that I have added manually (douille 4mm)
- track operations optimisation
- export to spectra and import again
- append the board to other board
- I have deleted all the Kicad keys in registry
- I have opened a board from sample projects which are delivered with
installation kit , tryed to plot them and sam result .

Same result. cannot plot board ! all coordinates in gerber or PS file
are the same.

Do you have any ideea if it is an stand alone executable who generates
pho and .ps files ? Maybe I have a wrong version and might be in other
place

Thank you,
Daniel

A similar issue was discussed on the Brazilian list...

It was Renies's suggestion to check if you a good board edge. It's
something to do with Gerber's limit that default to the first track
in
 the file.

As this is a recurrent problem, maybe it could be addressed in the
 Gerber genetation code...

Looking trough older posts I have found a situation when plot was
crashing and I searched for N V values greater than 21 - no chance.
I have restarted my computer several times now.

I really need some advices. pcbnew generates plot files with same
coordinates even for sample projects.

Daniel

in fact that issu was *not* solved with that brazilian user :(

I was in the discussion because I made a board with Kicad and sent to
the same manufacturer without any problem.

My suggestion:
- I don't belive that this is version related (with latest ones)
- try making a new small board and simulating the problem
- try drawing the edges before the tracks

If you can make a small example (of if your board is not confidential)
we can try the devel list, sending that board to one of the developpers

Can somebody else duplicate this problem for this fellow? If so, then
please gather up all the files required to cause that problem
duplication and then send them to my personal email address.

I don't have time to come back and ask for a missing library or
whatever. Make it easy for me so my time expenditure is minimized.

Also, when reporting what you think is a bug, ALWAYS state the
operating system and version you are using. Quite a few folks are
using linux these days.

2009-01-06 Thread dandumit
Dear All,
Thank you for helping me (to be frankly I was thinking that I will
go craizy).

Short facts :
1. I'm working on Windows XP proffesional
2. I have designed the board using latest stable release 20080825
3. Willing to benefit from latest developemnts I have copied the SVN
1507 on a separate folder and I have edited furthermore the board
4. When trying to plot even using v1507 or latest stable I get wrong
result. Now even print preview doesn't work anymore
5. even if I cleaned the registry, and all the folder that have
crossed trough my mind it seems that the latest version has saved
something somewhere and the board becomes unplottable

I have reproducted the error. Look what I have done :
1. on a clean computer I have installed the stable release
2. I have plotted successfully the pic_programmer project from
installation sample folder
3. I have copyed in a separate folder the v1507 executable
4. using this pcbnew.exe the plot generation generates errors
5. even using back the stable release executables the plot
generation generates wrong results again
6. I have archived all the files from pic_programmer folder and I
cand send them to who might be able to debug this situation.

Interesting thing : on the fresh installation of stable release
(without starting the v1507 exe on machine) the board opens nicely
and generate correct plot files.

Thank you for helping me,
Daniel

Thank you Dick !
I have posted the files on this site.
Could someone download it and help me solve this problem ?

That's all I can offer on this. I do not use Windows and therefore
also not the Windows version of Kicad.

 I tried,

I tested your files and kicad works fine for me.
But i noticed in your files you are not using the last stable version of
kicad.
can you download the official last file
KiCad-2008-08-25c-final-WinXP_autoinstall.zip) from
http://iut-tice.ujf-grenoble.fr/cao/

I never saw your problem; but test this kicad build
(I am thinking some built versions have a problem (know for french and
german versions about the foating point numbers notation,
and only with some built versions), but not your problem).

An other related problem under Windows has been reported by 2 users
having a Windows XP release candidate
(but it was a display problem) solved with a final Windows version
