[kicad-users] none of latest linux binaries works

I downloaded all latest linux binaries and none latest than
kicad-20080612-r1119-linux doesn't work. If i run it just simply
nothing happens. I am using ubuntu. Any idea what could be wrong?

I have my own compiled version
kicad-20080619-r1126 
running on linux just fine.
I remember that I had to update to the latest cmake to get it to compile but 
everything else worked smoothly.
I do not know about your binaries but I guess you do not have something right 
(like libraries) or not the right version.

Hi,

the binaries are made by me. They work for me on Kubuntu 8.04. Can you 
please please try to run them from the command line to see errors?
