Since the interface between AqBanking and KMyMoney does not change depending on the interface between AqBanking and the online banking service I doubt that this is a KMyMoney issue (but would not be surprised if it is at the same time). > > If these are actually issues with aqbanking and not with KMM's use of > > it, where should I bring them up? The AqBanking ML would be the correct sink for such requests, but the AqBanking developer is subscribed to our list as well, so he hopefully reads this discussion. -- Regards Thomas Baumgart GPG-FP: E55E D592 F45F 116B 8429 4F99 9C59 DB40 B75D D3BA - The words GUESS and KNOW when used in the context of flying may produce entirely opposite results. - signature.asc Description: This is a digitally signed message part.

One more and Firefox logs in for me. Then it's just one on "See activity" and one on "Download". Firefox knows where to put the file and does so silently. When I do "Update" within KMM I have to enter my master pasword anyway. I'm on Kubuntu. Maybe it's harder on Windoze. -- Later, Jeff
Re: aqbanking questions
Hello, I have a similar question: is it possible to enable aqbanking on the Windows version of KMyMoney? I have the same issue with Chase, and in the absence of a fix for libofx and a new KMM build I'm unable to update automatically. I've been told that by them too that I need to do an automatic download correctly by sometime early this year (March I think) or else I assume something bad happens. First, is there any way to make aqbanking remember the password? It prompts every time, and I don't see any boxes or settings. Also, is there any way to make it FORGET the password? I just mistyped a password, but if I try to update the account again, it uses the wrong password I just typed. Second, is there any way to make it actually put the memo from the downloaded transaction into the memo of the KMM transaction? If these are actually issues with aqbanking and not with KMM's use of it, where should I bring them up? Would it be the aqbanking mailing list? Thanks for any hints Jack
Re: aqbanking questions
An okay workaround that I use is to just log in to the Chase site with Firefox and download the ofx file and then import it into KMM. It's a few more mouse clicks but no big deal. Re: aqbanking questions
Thanks! Yeah, I do that too. I'd really like to get it working automatically again soon, though. :) -Mike On 1/28/2016 8:02 PM, Jeff Barlow wrote: An okay workaround that I use is to just log in to the Chase site with Firefox and download the ofx file and then import it into KMM. It's not simply a few more mouse clicks. It's logging in to the chase site and then selecting the download and specifying the dates, and then downloading the file, and then importing it in KMM. Updating an account is one click once that account is open in ledger view. I do admit that for me, it reall is more an issue of principle than the actual effort involved. I'm coming closer and closer to just closing all my Chase credit cards (mine and my wife's) and the only thing slowing me down is figuring the competition isn't likely to actually be any more friendly to non-proprietary software (i.e., KMM instead of Quicken).
