[Koha] moremember.pl shows high CPU usage after upgrade to 3.14
Hi all, After upgrading our system to 3.14, things are generally great, with the exception of this one issue. Loading the moremember.pl page for patrons with overdues takes upwards of 20 seconds, and top shows that the script is completely hogging the CPU. Patrons without overdues load just fine. My first thought was that it was doing some kind of crazy db query, but mysqld doesn't seem to be using any more resouces than usual while this is happening. Has anybody else experienced this? Any suggestions? -- Jason Sherman Systems Librarian University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma 405.574.1340 ___ Koha mailing list http://koha-community.org Koha@lists.katipo.co.nz http://lists.katipo.co.nz/mailman/listinfo/koha

Re: [Koha] Zebra indexing problems
It looks like this was tracked to a problem with paths and environment. I found that the testing which worked was when I was running interactively, whereas the times which did not work were when I was running using cron. Once I made sure my base shell was getting the right paths and environment information for the cron processes, they were able to run properly. Robin: Thanks for checking in. My internet access here in the frozen midwest was limited Monday and Tuesday, hence my late reply. What can I be checking to track this problem down and address it? What do your logs say? In particular, is the cron job for indexing actually running, and are emails from cron (which will talk about errors from the scripts) actually going somewhere where you can see them? -- - Tom Hanstra Systems Administrator Hesburgh Libraries of Notre Dame Phone: (574)631-4686 208 Hesburgh Library Email: t...@nd.edu Notre Dame, IN 46556 Happy New Year!! - ___ Koha mailing list http://koha-community.org Koha@lists.katipo.co.nz http://lists.katipo.co.nz/mailman/listinfo/koha
[Koha] re-importing books, duplicate barcodes
I have imported a large pile of books already. Now I'm going to import another pile, except that there are lots of duplicate books. All books have barcodes in the marc file, so I want to test for duplicity on that field. If there is a duplicate, I want to update the existing book with new information. Can anyone give me some detailed instructions on how to do this? The last time I looked, I think it was possible, but a little confusing. [Koha] how do I use z3590 with coha for shared cataloguing from Italian libraries?
I am *really really* new at all this. I'm working in an Italian school library. My computer has a windows OS so I followed all the instructions given to run koha on a virtual box see here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1W4vUwEQK5alc474WEt0h38qQ5VOGJxPpnJiytxJSgu0/edit What now? For example how do I get to do shared cataloguing through z3590 protocol? After setting up I only see a few US libraries. Famous, prestigious but at the moment of no help to me.
