delete both the item(s) and the biblio record at the same time? Or
is it

Hope this makes sense. We are running the package version of 3.16.02 on

Subject: [Koha] Label creator error

I'm running 3.18 and have a problem with my label creator incorrectly
splitting call numbers. I'm using the Reference collection code and adding
REF to the head of each call number for the items. Call numbers are
populated by the data in the 050 field.

Not all the call numbers on the label, but most, come out similar to this:

REF
.H
D1401
M2
2002

I am not sure what is going on. Thanks.

[Koha] Adding orders from staged files

2014-12-23 Thread Hillyard, Cecil
Hello,

We are looking into getting MARC vendor records and then using that file to
add the orders to Koha. The vendor can provide branch breakouts and quantities
for each branch. So we've been trying to use the add orders from a staged
file. What happens is that we can get 1 item record for each in the total
quantity but no branch breakouts. In what MARC field does that particular
ordering information go into? We have put the branch information in the 952
field but that did nothing.
The total quantity is in 969$h

[Koha] Biblios with no items

2014-12-23 Thread Steven Nickerson
Hello everyone,

I have 2 questions about having biblio records that have no items
attached:

1. I've run the report that yields the biblionumber and title of those
records with no items. What is the best way for me to actually delete
those biblio records from my Koha environment? I'm hoping there is a way to
do them in bulk and not one at a time?

2. What is the "proper" way to delete items and their biblios going
forward? We've been just deleting the items, but is there a better way to
delete both the item(s) and the biblio record at the same time? Or is it
always a 2-step process?

Hope this makes sense. We are running the package version of 3.16.02 on

That isn't true, what is above is an array of arrays, represented in
JSON, you can hndle that just fine in whatever you have that is
consuming the JSON

If you want the data instead as an array of hashes (in perl speak)
like your first example of JSON is describing all you need to do is add

&annotated=1

To the url, (at least in 3.16.0 or older)

[Koha] Help with JSON and public reports

2014-12-23 Thread Karam Qubsi
Hi ,
First I'm very new with JSON . I'd like to ask :
as I understood from JSON documentation that the output data in JSON format
must look like something like to this :
 [ { "Name" : "Alfreds Futterkiste", "City" : "Berlin", "Country" :
"Germany" }, { "Name" : "Berglunds snabbköp", "City" : "Luleå", "Country" :
"Sweden" }, { "Name" : "Centro comercial Moctezuma", "City" : "México
D.F.", "Country" : "Mexico" }, { "Name" : "Ernst Handel", "City" : "Graz",
"Country" : "Austria" } ]

but in Koha the output for Public reports is like this :

[["23-12-2014","maisara","6"],["23-12-2014","nadia","10"],["22-12-2014","hakkar","17"],["22-12-2014","nadia","3"],["22-12-2014","abdramaneg","21"]]

the field names is not in the output , and I realized ( & maybe I'm
wrong) that to handle JSON text you must have id for each field ) to
handle it with your script .

so is this a correct output from Koha ? and can be handled in some
advanced methods with JSON ?

or do I have to write my SQL report in a way to CONCAT the field name
with the field data in every data cell ?

thanks :) .
