we are using gLabels - http://glabels.sourceforge.net/

it's simple, but good enogh for us

If you are using Debian or Ubuntu, you can install it from standard
distribution repository (It's part of Gnome)

Hi good people,

Am using KOHA v.3.14.I am not very conversant  with the label creator
module.

What other open source software would you recommend  to use to generate
barcodes simply.

Regarding the barcodes:

At the moment, the barcode dimensions are hard coded in relation to the
dimension of the label.

For patron cards exists a solution  that makes barcode scaling editable:
