[Koha] 880 field OPAC display

2019-05-27 Thread Archimandrite Gregory

Hello.

I have a dilemma which I am hoping someone can help me solve. I want my
patrons to be able to see both non-Latin script as well as the romanized
transliteration of an item in the OPAC. I have tried linking several
fields to the 880 field, but discovered that it will not display all the
fields or subfields I choose. For example, the 245 field will link to the
880 field, but will only display subfield a. Also, the 264 field when
linked to the 880 field will not display at all. Do I need to do something
to the 880 field? Should I be entering the information into the record
differently to achieve my goal? Any advice would be appreciated.

Re: [Koha] Koha 18.11 - LC Authorities dataset upload - Free-floating subdivisions

2019-05-27 Thread Katrin Fischer

Hi Craig,

what's the error in your plack error log that appears with the Internal
server error? Could you give an example of how these free-floating
subdivisions look like in MARC? What is the field for the main heading?

It could be a bug or requiring an enhancement - a bit hard to tell
without knowing more. Having an internal server error is never nice, so
filing a bug might make sense anyway.

Hi everyone,

Koha 18.11 on Ubuntu 16.04 (MariaDb)

I recently discovered that the Library of Congress has released their 2014
authorities as a free, open-access dataset in Marc8, xml, and Utf8 formats.
This is great! (
https://www.loc.gov/cds/products/MDSConnect-subject_authorities.html)

I am in the process of batch uploading the subject authority file into my
instance of Koha. I'm about half complete (or about 220,000 entries).

I noticed, however, that the file includes free-floating subdivisions,
which are part of the dataset as their own record as if they were main
headings. These have been uploaded as such into my system.

I get an "Internal Server Error" page if I attempt to click on the Details
button of any of these sub-divisions in the OPAC authority browse page. Not
a huge deal, but something that should be mentioned. E.g.,
http://library.craigbutosi.ca/cgi-bin/koha/opac-authoritiesdetail.pl?authid=3436
)

I was wondering if this should be treated as a bug, and if anyone has done
something similar and is (or is not) getting the same error.

I reindexed zebra after uploading, but the error persists.

Thanks all,

Re: [Koha] Regarding analytical entries

2019-05-27 Thread Katrin Fischer

Hi Suresh,

how are you generating your 773 entries? Are you using the "New child
record" feature from the detail page of the host record?

This feature can currently not be configured, so changes would require
changing the code in Koha. If it's a standard field you are missing, you
could also consider filing a bug on https://bugs.koha-community.org.

Hope this helps,

Katrin

This is regarding analytical records, some of the bibliographic fields are

Now I wanted to generate few other fields into the 773 field automatically.
Is this possible?

If so pls let me know the steps to achieve this.

Thank you in advance.

Re: [Koha] Specify notice language for vendor

2019-05-27 Thread Katrin Fischer

Hi Mohamad,

at the moment it's not possible to configure a default language for
vendors. I can see how it would be helpful to pick different versions of
claims and order templates.

Filing a bug on Bugzilla would be a great first step:

Hope this helps,

I can do it for Patrons, but not for vendors.

Re: [Koha] Changing the frequency of Koha Overdue Notice Email from daily to weekly

2019-05-27 Thread Katrin Fischer

Hi,

another reason might be that your cronjob for overdues is set up without
the -t parameter that will make it use the notice triggers set in Koha.
Something to check if you haven't got it working yet.

Hope this helps,

Katrin

Thanks for updating the wiki, sorry to hear it was out of date.. it's been
on my list to take a look at for a while and make sure it all still made
sense.

As an alternative to editing the templates and maintaining a local patch
yourself indefinitely.. it would be great to see a signoff on bug 18506 -

If your goal is to provide custom images to your installation of Koha,
you can use the "Remote image" option in Item types administration.
You can enter a URL pointing to an image file which is hosted
somewhere web-accessible.

If you're asking how to contribute a new set of images to be included
with Koha, you should first ensure that you're working with images
which have an appropriate license for inclusion in Koha. File a bug at
https://bugs.koha-community.org with your proposal.

[Koha] Regarding the KOHA version migration - custom file issue

2019-05-27 Thread Rejeesh K.Nair
Hi All,

We need to migrate our existing application with custom modules (KOHA
Version 16.05.04) to latest version (KOHA Version 18.11.05). Existing
application deployed in cloud server.

So we have done the following steps.

   - Installed the KOHA Version 18.11.05 in another cloud server.
   - Migrated the old database to new server.
   - The corresponding custom code snippet copy from old server files and
   paste to new server files.
   - But in the case of .pm files, copy the entire files from
/usr/share/koha/lib/C4 and paste to the same location in the new server.

Now when we click on one custom link, we got the following software error.

*Software error:Bareword "GetItemTypes" not allowed while "strict subs" in
use at /usr/share/koha/opac/cgi-bin/opac/libraries.pl
line 185.Execution of /usr/share/koha/opac/cgi-bin/opac/libraries.pl
 aborted due to compilation errors.*

Can anyone help me urgently on this issue?
