[Koha] Username and Password Missing after Logoff and Shutdown?

2020-11-16 Thread Charles Kelley
Hello, all!

Earlier today, I changed a small number of records to my library's
catalog. I changed both authority records and bibliographic records. Then I
logged out and ran the updates and upgrades (#sudo apt update) and (#sudo
apt upgrade) on our Linux box. Finally, I shut down the Linux box.

A few hours later, I rebooted the Linux box. Koha solicited me for my
username and password, the ones in koha-conf.xml. I found them in
/etc/koha/sites/LIBRARY/koha-conf.xml. I have typed them multiple times,
only to be rebuffed every time.

What did I do wrong? How can we reset the username and password?

Fortunately, I have cloned a backup right before I began working on the
most recent changes, so I have lost only a few hours of work. I'll have to
reenter the changes I made, but to paraphrase an old aphorism, "If you live
by technology, you die by technology."

[Koha] Open source RFP doc for libraries

2020-11-16 Thread Kathryn Tyree
Kia ora,

Does anyone know of any open source Request for Proposal/Tender type
documents, or any other documents that libraries have shared that were
used to procure library software?

I feel like I heard about something along these lines a while back, but
can't find anything just now.

Thanks heaps,
Kathryn

Hi Kathryn,

Was this

the one you were thinking of?

Used quite a lot in the UK.
Thanks,

2020-11-16 Thread Elaine Bradtke
Well, that's interesting.
I added another test news item, it still didn't display.
I checked the log through the staff interface for the past 24 hours.
The only thing that shows up are a bunch of cron jobs.
I've CC'd our tech expert on this one.

2020-11-16 Thread Jonathan Druart
Hum, just noticing something however.
I did specify an expiration date from the UI, but it's not in the DB table.
The "news" is not updated if I keep the "number" field blank.
Did you make sure the changes were applied correctly?

Re: [Koha] Items moved to News are not displaying

2020-11-16 Thread Jonathan Druart
Hi Elaine,

Do you see an error in the Koha log files?

I've tried with:
 idnew: 3
branchcode: NULL
 title: test
   content: test
  lang: OpacMainUserBlock_en
 timestamp: 2020-11-16 00:00:00
expirationdate: NULL
number: 0
borrowernumber: 51

And I do see "test" on the OPAC home page. Tested on 20.05.05

Cheers,
Jonathan
