Hello again, Eric!

I was premature. There is a *.pl file by that name in the path I
reproduced above; and I ran it from the terminal shell. I got a error
message that begins

"Can't locate Koha/Scripts.pm @INC (you may need to install the
Koha::Script module) ..."

I have only a slight idea of what the error refers to; and, more to the
point, I don't know how to install such a module. I can't find
documentation on how to do so.

Any suggestions, anyone?

I found it! Here's the complete path:

/usr/share/koha/bin/migration_tools/remove_unused_authorities.pl

I'll run it on the development machine before the production machine.
I'll also set up a cron job for once a month.

Many thanks!

Hi Charles,

There's a script for this actually: /migration_tools/
remove_unused_authorities.pl (that path may have changed or be incomplete,
I'm looking at notes on my phone) We run it as a cron job to keep our auth
records clean. The "did you mean" search suggestions use authorities but
don't filter out ones that aren't linked to any records, that's one good
reason to prune them regularly.

[Koha] Bulk Deletion of Authorities Not Linked to a Title

2022-06-14 Thread Charles Kelley
Hi, all!

I think I wrote about this awhile ago, but I have lost my notes. In any
event, is it possible to do a bulk deletion or mass deletion of authority
records not linked to an authority records?

Our catalog has quite a few of such authority records, and we would
like to delete them. I'm trying to avoid a search-by-search project. Some
are duplicates when we initially migrated to Koha and we turned on the
preference/setting/option to add authority records upon upload. Some are
just typos, extra downloads by mistakes, and so on.

Many thanks.

Re: [Koha] Koha pluging for linking fields and RDA -76X-78X fields

2022-06-14 Thread Mercedes Portugal
Hi Heather!

Thanks for answering and for the information.

The plugin is marc21_linking_section.pl. Katrin mentioned it to me today. It is
already set in all subfields and you just need to choose it and then implement
it. It worked! Perhaps with some limitations but it is ok. I tested it on the
22.05

I would like to know how are you linking recods with 76x-77x marc fields in
Koha with 21.05 version.

Yeah sure, I will watch that video as we will use 78x fields as well.

Hi, Mercedes!

We are also a specialized library! I'm sorry that I don't have an answer for
you about the plugin, but we have used RDA from almost the beginning of its
introduction, and I've cataloged for decades using the 76X-78X fields (they
predate RDA)--do you have specific questions about them? I have a public list
of RDA records on our OPAC that might be of interest:
[
https://keys.bywatersolutions.com/cgi-bin/koha/opac-shelves.pl?op=view&shelfnumber=52&sortfield=title
 | Contents of RDA records › SF Maritime NHP Research Center catalog
(bywatersolutions.com) ]

And there are also some sample records on the Koha Wiki:
[ https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Training_resources#Cataloging | Training
resources - Koha Wiki (koha-community.org) ]

We just discussed using the MARC21 78X linking entry fields at the last Koha-US
Cataloging Special Interest Group (on June 2, 2022) which might be of interest,
and the recording is posted on the Koha-US YouTube channel: [
https://www.youtube.com/c/kohaUS/videos | koha-US
 - YouTube ]
(The Koha-US Cataloging SIG meetings are open to all, by the way, if you'd like
to come to ask questions, get feedback, suggestions, etc.--you don't have to be
a Koha-US member, or even in the US! Info here [
https://koha-us.org/special-interest-groups/ | Special
 Interest Groups – koha-US ] )

We're still on 21.05 (supported by ByWater Solutions) but will be upgrading to
21.11 in the coming months--I'm so excited about the new features!

[Koha] Koha pluging for linking fields and RDA -76X-78X fields

2022-06-14 Thread Mercedes Portugal

Hi eveyone!

We are a specialized library in Argentina, Buenos Aires and we are right now
updating to the last Koha version and at the same time implementing RDA with
MARC21 fields.

Where can we download the following plugin for linking records?

mar21_linking_records.pl

And who is actually implementing RDA in full? using relationships fields
76x-78x?

Thanks a lot!

Re: [Koha] More problems with Google security upgrade

2022-06-14 Thread Jason Boyer
Recently Google has started treating all SPF failures as hard failures and
throwing away those messages. So, if your notices have a From: of
u...@example.com and example.com’s SPF record doesn’t
say that you’re allowed to send email from that domain Gmail trashes it. We’ve
had a lot of customers lately either add our servers to their SPF records and
that fixed the issue for them. You can find out more at
http://www.open-spf.org/

Also setting up DKIM support would make it even more likely that they be
delivered, but a properly setup SPF record for all domains email is coming
“from” is enough for now.

Hi

As I found out the needed packages "libjson-validator-perl" and
"libmojolicious-plugin-openapi-perl" do not come with Debian GNU/Linux
10 but as dependencies for package "koha-common". For some reason they
were not installed during the installation of package "koha-common".

However I was now able to install them and our problem is solved; Plack
is running.
