I get the popup too, but it's a full-sized window (opened in a new tab in my
case). The page looks like it's designed to be a smaller, standalone popup, so
I think more improvements can be made which will help confusion.
- Set a size on the window so that it doesn't potentially open as a new tab:
window.open(url,'TransferOrder','width=500,height=300,toolbar=false,scrollbars=yes');
- Alter the markup of transferorder.tt using a popup page like
guarantor_search.tt as an example. The grid must be altered to accommodate a
smaller window (adjust as necessary):

No further actions are taken. The code to do the transfer is never executed, and the item sits at the holdingbranch library. If you're ignoring the hold, you want the checkin to proceed as if the hold had never popped up in the first place, and that means doing a return home if appropriate. To test, place a hold on an item for delivery to Library A. Check that item in at Library B. Click Ignore in the hold confirmation message. Before the patch, doing so would simply trigger JavaScript to hide the dialog. After the patch the form will be sumitted and the item will be transfered without fulfilling the hold. [2] The module is currently being used by Evergreen. Any future efforts to improve LC call number parsing by updating Library::CallNumber::LC would benefit both ILS projects. [3] In bug 6281, I'm proposing using this module to improve sorting of LC call numbers. Using the module would reduce redundancy in Koha's code base. [4] And, perhaps most importantly, it solves a problem reported by a library. The immediate motivation for this change is an example call number that one of our customers noted is being split incorrectly. The LC number 'QH541.15.C6 C25 2012' is currently being split like this: QH 541 .15 .C6 C25 2012 It should actually be split as follows: QH 541.15 .C6 C25 2012 The .15 after 541 is part of the main class number; it isn't a Cutter. To test: [1] Add an item record with the call number QH541.15.C6 C25 2012 and set it classification source to lcc. Because LC::CallNumber::LC appears to reject strings that aren't valid LC call numbers, significant changes to the test cases were made as well -- however, the one that really counts is the last one which verifies the sorting. To recalculate the call number sort key for each item, it is necessary to run misc/maintenance/touch_all_items.pl To test, create item records with the following call numbers, setting the classification sort to 'lccl: QC100 .U57 NO. 555 1986 QC145 .A57 V.12 1980 QC145.45 .H4 D65 1998 QC995 .E29 1997 Next, make a report of them in the inventory tool.
