FYI, Magnus and I are doing a RDF project with Stockholm University Library,
and we've been looking at RDF::Trine again.

I've found a bug in the most recent code (version 1.016), and sent a pull
request, and the module author said that he's hoping to review it and get that
merged into master in the next few days. 

But it means that we do want to be using the newest version of RDF::Trine. I'm
going to send an email out in a moment and copy in Mirko as the latest package
maintainer.

Importing a batch using a framework code that is defined but not set up causes
the import to go into an endless loop.

Create a new framework code but don't set what it is based on.  
Then import a batch using that framework.

Hi Karen, I think Koha can't generate the password automatically yet, so that
might be a different enhancement. But you are right about the username. The
current behaviour has led to a lot of questions as libraries are never sure if
the email has been sent out (no way to check) and there is a lot of
undocumented conditions for it to happen.

Hi Bouzid, one step further!

- QA test tools pass now
- Adding a new authority entry after checking works nicely.
- Adding a new authority that was checked negative works much better too, but
fields are not prepopulated as noted in the test plan, could you check? If this
is not intended for now, we could also change the test plan and solve this
later on, as long as we don't leave broken code.

We are a bit sparse with information in the RSS feed, for example if the entry

A system preference: Koha Only (default), Koha and Google, Prompt (recommended
to give users freedom of choice)?

If Koha Only, log out URL generates page similar to currently.
If Koha and Google, log out URL generates the double logout version.
If Prompt, modal popup like now.

Would that be acceptable?

I've been tinkering with revoking the authorization token after log in, the
problem is Google stores session information in cookies, which I am having
difficulty eliminating. This makes clicking on the previous email
auto-magically log in.
google.com: SSID and SID, accounts.google.com: LSID, ACCOUNT_CHOOSER.
Get rid of those four cookies manually, and a login is forced without the
previous email being remembered.

[SIGNED OFF] Bug 18574 - Clean Patron Records tool doesn't limit to the
selected library

The library selector simply does nothing because at some point the
javascript that powers it was removed. This is very bad because
the librarian may batch delete patrons assuming it is limiting by
branch correctly and instead delete patrons for all the libraries!

Test Plan:
1) Note that the library pulldown on tools/cleanborrowers.pl does nothing
2) Apply this patch
3) Note that chaning the value in the pulldown now refreshed the page and sets
the library correctly!

Description on editing csv profiles says:

"You can also use your own headers (instead of the ones from Koha) by
prefixing the field name with an header, followed by the equal sign."

So the header should be optional, but in fact it's mandatory. Also the
regular expression to cut table name from beginning of db column is not
right.

Test plan:

0. Don't apply the patch
1. Make two CSV profiles for exporting late issues
a)
SUPPLIER=aqbooksellers.name|TITLE=subscription.title|ISSUENUMBER=serial.serialseq|LATE
SINCE=serial.planneddate
b) aqbooksellers.name|TITLE=subscription.title|ISSUE
NUMBER=serial.serialseq|LATE SINCE=serial.planneddate
2. Export late issues, profile a) works as expected, profile b) doesn't

Bug 18438 - Implemented data-dismiss="modal" in returns.tt so that any warning
messages hidden by a hold modal are displayed after it is dismissed

Test plan:
1. Check out an item to one patron whilst having that item also being on
hold to another patron

2. Check the item back in

3. Notice a modal box appears greying out the background with three
buttons 'Confirm hold', 'Print and confirm' and 'Ignore'. Click confirm
and notice that the page refreshes and no yellow warning messages are
able to be displayed

4. Now that you have checked the item in. Try checking it in a second
time by clicking on the Checkin tab and writing in the barcode.

5. The modal box will appear again, this time with three buttons
'Confirm', 'Print and confirm' and 'Cancel hold'

6. Click the 'Confirm' button and the page refreshes again and the
yellow warning message hidden by the modal box is not properly displayed
to the user. Notice that the focus is on the barcode input box.

7. Apply patch

8. Try checking in the item again, and this time after clicking the
'confirm' button on the modal box notice that the yellow warning message
is displayed telling the user the item was "Not checked out". Also
notice the focus is in the barcode inputbox.

9. Drop the hold on the item and make sure it is not checked out.

10. Repeat steps 1 and 2 and notice after clicking the 'Confirm hold'
button the page refreshes and the item is successfully checked back in.
With the focus on the barcode input.

11. View koha-tmpl/intranet-tmpl/prog/en/modules/circ/returns.tt and
notice that the button on line 345 does not use an onclick parameter

Bug 18154 - Show card number in detailled suggestion pages

This patch modifies the main suggestion management page to link patron
names to their details rather than with a "mailto:; link.

This patch also includes the following changes:

- A fix for Bug 18154, Show card number in suggestion details view.
- Changes for brevity to labels in the suggestion details & edit view.
- Addition of the datepicker class to date fields in the suggestion edit
  view.

We had a lot of similar discussions about Shibboleth around here. 

The patrons use public computers in the library to search, place holds etc. and
then they walk away, unaware that they are still logged into email and several
other services the single sign on works for - although they logged out of the
OPAC. 

We could make the warning optional, but I think it would be a nice thing to
have.

Bug 18573: (bug 17847 follow-up) Update av-build-dropbox.inc for OPAC

On bug 17847, av-build-dropbox.inc has been updated for the intranet,
not OPAC

There is only one call to av-build-dropbox.inc at the OPAC, from
opac-suggestion.tt

Test plan:
Create a new suggestion, anonymous or with a logged in user
=> Without this patch you got
  Template process failed: undef error - The method default is not
  covered by tests! at /home/vagrant/kohaclone/C4/Templates.pm line 121.
=> With this patch applied you should see the item type dropdown list
correctly filled

Reproduced without patch, OK with patch

Bug 18571: Add default ES configuration to koha-conf-site.xml.in

This patch adds a default configuration entry for elasticsearch. It will
add localhost:9200 to the server subsection, and koha_instance (replacing
instance
for the corresponding instance name) for the namespace.

To test:
- Apply the patch
- Copy the file to the /etc/koha dir:
  $ sudo cp kohaclone/debian/templates/koha-conf-site.xml.in /etc/koha
- Create a new instance:
  $ sudo koha-create --create-db test
=> SUCCESS: /etc/koha/sites/test/koha-conf.xml includes the mentioned section:

 
 localhost:9200
 koha_test
 

- Sign off :-D

Note: As the use of ES is syspref driven, this default entry doesn't have any
use
until ES is installed and SearchEngine set to Elasticsearch. So it doesn't hurt
but will help end users test the ES integration. Advanced users will take care
of
this config entry manually (pointing to external servers/clusters, etc).

I noticed that changing ReservesControlBranch syspref to "item's home library"
the fix works (in my Koha installation ReservesControlBranch was set to
"patron's home library"). Is it right?

Bug 15561 - Add ability to charge cancelation fee from "Holds over" tab

The fee set in ExpireReservesMaxPickUpDelayCharge can only be charged by
the automatic expiration cron script. Some libraries would prefer to
manually cancel holds via the "Holds over" tab of the "Holds awaiting
pickup" page but still be able to charge the cancellation fee.

Test Plan:
1) Apply this patch
2) Set ExpireReservesMaxPickUpDelayCharge to some number
3) Go to the Holds awaiting pickup page
4) Go to the Holds over tab
5) Note the new checkbox for charging the fee
6) Test canceling a single hold with the checkbox checked
7) Note a fee is charged
8) Test canceling a single hold with the checkbox unchecked
9) Note a fee is not charged
10) Test canceling all holds with the checkbox checked
11) Note the patrons are charged fees
12) Test canceling all holds without the checkbox checked
13) Note the patrons are not charged fees

Bug 18154 - Show card number in detailled suggestion pages

This patch modifies the main suggestion management page to link patron
names to their details rather than with a "mailto:; link.

This patch also includes the following changes:

- A fix for Bug 18154, Show card number in suggestion details view.
- Changes for brevity to labels in the suggestion details & edit view.
- Addition of the datepicker class to date fields in the suggestion edit
  view.

Bug 18573: (bug 17847 follow-up) Update av-build-dropbox.inc for OPAC

On bug 17847, av-build-dropbox.inc has been updated for the intranet,
not OPAC

There is only one call to av-build-dropbox.inc at the OPAC, from
opac-suggestion.tt

Test plan:
Create a new suggestion, anonymous or with a logged in user
=> Without this patch you got
  Template process failed: undef error - The method default is not
  covered by tests! at /home/vagrant/kohaclone/C4/Templates.pm line 121.
=> With this patch applied you should see the item type dropdown list
correctly filled

To replicate:

1) Set the system preference QueryFuzzy to 'Enable'
2) Run the following search:

  ti: Hitchhikers Guide To the Galaxy

   This will fail.

3) A keyword search for

  Hitchhikers Guide To the Galaxy

   will get hits.

Technical notes: I enabled 'request' logging in koha-conf.xml:

  none,fatal,warn,request

In the zebra logs, I see the truncation attribute

   @attr 5=103

In the keyword search, but not in the title search.

Bug 18574 - Clean Patron Records tool doesn't limit to the selected library

The library selector simply does nothing because at some point the
javascript that powers it was removed. This is very bad because
the librarian may batch delete patrons assuming it is limiting by
branch correctly and instead delete patrons for all the libraries!

Test Plan:
1) Note that the library pulldown on tools/cleanborrowers.pl does nothing
2) Apply this patch
3) Note that chaning the value in the pulldown now refreshed the page and sets
the library correctly!

I have enabled  AnonSuggestions and defined a valid borrowernumber in 
AnonymousPatron. When I go to /cgi-bin/koha/opac-suggestions.pl?op=add I get an
error:

Template process failed: undef error - The method default is not covered by
tests! at /home/vagrant/kohaclone/C4/Templates.pm line 121.

Bug 17781 fixed an inconsistency in renewals, but it broke functionality in the
OPAC

To recreate:
1 - Set 'OpacRenewalBranch' to 'OPACrenew'
2 - Renew an item via the OPAC
3 - Check the statistics table
4 - Branch will be the user's branch, not OPACrenew

Elasticsearch as a search engine has become a real option. Switching from Zebra
into ES is syspref handled.
Koha instances should get created with an ES config entry poiting to
localhost:9200 to make it easier for users to try it.

Advanced users (having external ES servers/clusters can tweak themselves the
file, but we need to provide a working setup for regular users.

I tested and found the link is however working and shows suggestion management
if directly we give URL of suggestion management even it is off in system
preference.

There is some problematic situation as i tested:

1. Created suggestion on user behalf through staff interfacewhen system
preference is off.

2. Came to Koha staff interface and selected the displayed pending suggestion.

3. Made this suggestion status as checked and came back to staff home page.

4. Now i wish to find above title for further process but did not able to
locate only it can be seen again in concern member detail page ( Point no. 1
above)

5. I directly given URL of suggestion management and found on the screen which
showed me as usual options of suggestion management and title status as
checked.

I think few more options is needed in this regard. 

1. Display of suggestion management always in staff client as well as in member
detail page only through staff interface.

2. Purchase suggestion is needed by category of members and that can be made in
circulation privileges OR category of member i.e. Purchase suggestion allowed
or not

The same patch as above only generated within git and without touch existing
whitespace formatting oddities in the script.

When I mentioned this bug/patch on the Koha IRC channel originally I was told I
needed to read up on how to submit bugs/patch because I'd done something wrong.
I've read a load of wiki pages, etc now and I think the issue might have been
that I tidied up the white space formatting in another part of the same script
and didn't have the patch generated by git (rather I just used context diffing
on our non-git installation). Hopefully this patch will find more favour. :-)

Bug 17936 - Search bar not aligned on right in small screen sizes

This patch tweaks the OPAC's CSS so that the main search form's fields
have consistent width at small screen sizes.

To test, apply the patch and process the LESS files. View the OPAC main
page at a very narrow browser width and confirm that the text field
width matches that of the dropdown and button.

I think there are two related problems here:

1) There isn't a separate preference for enabling and disabling suggestions in
the OPAC and staff client. Having that would allow you to enable staff-mediated
suggestions through the staff client but not OPAC suggestions.

2) Turning off suggestions in system preferences hides suggestion management in
Acquisitions and the OPAC, but not from the patron tabs in circulation. As long
as there is only one suggestions system preference I would think turning it off
would  hide the option of accessing suggestions-related pages everywhere,
including members/purchase-suggestions.pl
