Link of detail to be approved

If a patron modified his/her data via OPAC and librarian is attempting to
approve it via staff client system works fine just a minor issue is Link given
on member name does not land on any page. However "member details" link works
fine. Please refer the attached screenshot. Koha Version 16.11.07

Sounds like a plan!

Although I wouldn't implement this patch if I were you. It hasn't been accepted
into Koha yet.

You could test and sign off the patch, and then maybe the QA people will take a
look at it.

You are right, the user uses an old version of Koha 3.18.10, with the indexing
option GRS1.

Bug 18919: Repair "Transaction branch" in cash_register_stats.pl

- values of the option fields are now correctly loaded

TEST PLAN:
go to domain/cgi-bin/koha/reports/cash_register_stats.pl
1 - Make a report for all branches => it works
2 - Make a report for any branch => you will get the same or no result
3 - apply patch
4 - Repeat 2 => it should work

Followed test plan worked as intended

Check your logs. Seeing problems with rounding large numbers etc? Than maybe
running a few tests created very large numbers in patron related tables. And
they could be the cause of no results.

The Checkout History tab (issue.pl) currently shows the branch name and time
stamp for a checkout, but only the time stamp for when it was returned. There
are occasions in multi-branch systems when it is helpful to also know where the

If ldap enabled fallback to internal in C4::Auth::checkpw is dependent on the
return value from checkpw_ldap

In C4::Auth_with_ldap the situation seems to be:

IF auth_by_bind
IF anonymous_bind look up principalname
ELSE construct via config
Now we have principal name
Attempt to bind
IF fail
IF anonymous_bind return -1 NO FALLBACK
ELSE return 0 FALLBACK
ELSE
Lookup user with bind account
If user not found, return 0 FALLBACK
If user found and pwd not match return -1 NO FALLBACK


The difference I see is:
When doing bind by auth without anonymous bind we fallback on existing ldapuser
with no matching password
When using bind user we do not fallback on existing ldapuser with no matching
password


In one case you can login with either LDAP or Koha password
In other you can only use LDAP password

Maybe this is expected, but it seems odd.

Found that the initial patch breaks searching by name in staff client. 
Go to patron page enter name in search box (Enter patron card number or partial
name) and search - nothing is ever returned. Resetting the system to the status
before the initial patch restores ability to search by name.

First impression looking at the code, GetMember was handling doing a name
search, almost as a side effect of the more specific 'number' searches and
we've lost that functionality. This may have implications elsewhere

Theres a problem handling STDOUT/STDERR output I have two test servers both
work ok on master - with these patches applied one consistently crashes on
startup with the message:

There is an action_logs entry via logaction() without transaction to be rolled
back in t/db_dependent/Log.t. This leaves an entry in action_logs after
the test is over.

To replicate:
1. prove t/db_dependent/Log.t
2. Observe a new entry in action_logs table

To test:
1. Apply patch
2. prove t/db_dependent/Log.t
3. Observe there are no new entries in action_logs

For SMS messages to be sent, the patron has to have a phone number to receive
text messages and their carrier.  When an enhanced message sends(advance
notices, holds, checkin, checkouts)  it takes the phone number and adds the
appropriate carrier information to it.  For the Over Notices, the SMS number is
not getting attached to the carrier information, the email information is being
used instead.  Thus the patron is receiving an SMS overdue notice via their
email address instead of through a text message. 


See below- an advanced notice of Item due sent via SMS uses the phone number,
however, the overdue Notice uses the email address:

Sorry to jump into this Bug after pushing, but I didn't see an answer for this
idea. I see you use an environment variable but testing on .t suffix sounds
like a nice solution when not using prove and being unaware of the environment
variable. Did you discuss it on IRC?

The way OPAC password recovery is working with koha 16.05 as understood by me
is below: 

1. We need to enter userid(Loginid)
2. Enter email - any email associated with the patron in the borrower table 
3. Verifying email associated with userid(Loginid) in all email fields of that
patron
4. The mail is being sent to the particular mailid entered in password recovery
form(if it is matching)

As per the setting in patron preferences, iam understanding that, if the mailid
associated with userid is verified and matching, then the mail trigger should
be based on the autoemailprimaryaddress preference and not the mailid entered
in the password recovery form. 

Password recovery form is not going by the patron preference setting though
other notices are using that preference. I think this should be rectified. 

Please correct me if iam understanding this incorrectly.
