I'd be happiest with a solution where we fixed the idea from Jonathan so that
it works for both use cases - EasyAnalytics and simple 773 linking. Looking at
the patch it seems to be missing the code to actually calculate the
$analytics_flag?

I think we could all agree that this would be a nice enhancement, showing a
link only when there are analytics. Or just never show a link if EasyAnalytics
is used?

I am just not sure how to do it, which is the whole reason it was not
implemented like that from the beginning :( With some guidance I would be happy
to give it a try.

I am not sure how to hide it by default and make it display on demand. At the
moment you can hide it with one line of CSS. Would hiding it in the default CSS
and unhiding in OpacUserCSS work?

We also hide it for a lot of libraries as most don't have analytics - and then
they don't have analytics on all records. I just wanted to say: don't kill it
by assuming everyone uses EasyAnalytics. I am open to suggestions on how to
make this work better - Ideally it should only display when there are linked
records.

I can appreciate that your libraries have workflows related to analytics here. 
However, the vast majority of other libraries using MARC21 standard do not
intend the Leader position 7 to indicate that there are analytics present.  I
believe that Koha should be displaying the bibliographic data in a way that is
accurate to the data that is entered.  In this case not display an analytic tag
just because leader position 7 =s.  

I have a number of libraries who would love to see this 'feature' removed and
have Koha catalog and display in the correct fashion (according to marc21
standards).

Bug 17698: [FOLLOW-UP] Changing to Koha Objects style, adding circ sidebar

Marcel, can you please have a look at this patch. I tried to implement
the change
my @notes = $schema->resultset('Issue')->search({ 'me.note' => { '!=', undef }
}, { prefetch => [ 'borrower', { item => 'biblionumber' } ] });
to
my @notes = Koha::Checkouts->search({ 'me.note' => { '!=', undef } }, {
prefetch => [ 'borrower', { item => 'biblionumber' } ] });
but am having problems on the template side. I can access the item and
biblio information about the issue, but not the borrower information,
even though the query is definitely pulling it correctly. Any
suggestions or ideas as to why this breaks?

This patch also adds the implementation of the circSidebar.

This behaviour is common for all location changes:

In the code in C4/Items.pl  -> _do_column_fixes_for_mod, is is explicitely
written that any change in item.location (except toward 'CART' and 'PROC'), if
permanent_location is empty, it will be populated.

The question is now to know, is it pertinent to add an exception and not run
this function for location in case of reserve course, but I don't think so.

Bug 20123 - Allow multiple instances of Koha to have different timezones on the
same server

Most of Koha depends on the local timezone of the server, except for
Koha::Database which support an ENV override with the key TZ.

We should take this a step further. We should not only accept the TZ
environment variable for all of Koha, we should really be able to set the
timezone in the koha conf file as well so we don't have to pass that
environment variable to things like cronjobs and one-off scripts.

Test Plan:
1) Apply this patch
2) Set a timzone in your koha_conf file, that is *not* your local time zone
   Available timzones are listed here:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_tz_database_time_zones
3) Restart apache/plack
4) Perform some actions, check the timestamps in the database and in the
   html output, note they are for the set timezone and not the local
   timezone.

Bug 4078: Add the ability to display and configure the symbol for prices

The symbol of currencies are not displayed (or not correctly) so far.
This patch set adds the ability to configure the display of the symbol
(with or without a whitespace between the symbol and the price).

Test plan:
1. Execute the update DB entry, go to the currency admin page and tick the
new "Space separation between symbol and value" checkbox
2. Add a fine to a patron and use their credentials to login at the OPAC
3. You should see the "$ 42 due fines and charges" info in the
dashboard
4. Untick the new checkbox to remove the space and reload the OPAC main
page.
=> The space should not be longer displayed ($42)

I am stealing this bug to add a new column to the currency table.
It will allow to display or not a space between the symbol and the value.

The problem we also have is that the with_symbol flag is not correctly handled
in template (not passed from Koha::Template::Plugin::Price to
Koha::Format::Price)

Bug 13560: Add an 'Add' option for marc modification templates

Add/Update would update a field or create new if it existed, but didn't
allow for creating new if the field existed.

This patchset splits the options to 'Add & Update' so that 'Add' will always
add a field and 'Update' will operate as it always has

To test:
1 - Have a record with a known existing field (make a copy)
2 - Define a marc modification template that 'Add/update' on that field
3 - Define an 'Add/Update' on a field that doesn't exist
4 - Batch modify the copy of record using the above template
5 - Verify the existing field was updated
6 - Verify the non-existing field was updated
7 - Apply patch and update database
8 - Make another copy
9 - Modify the copy with the same template as above
10 - Should match initial modification
11 - Add a new rule to add a new field
12 - Modify using the updated template
13 - Ensure your new field is created

Clicking the 'Empty cart and close' link when viewing the contents of a cart at
/cgi-bin/koha/opac-basket.pl does not work.

There are javascript security errors because the page opens in a new window but
scripts in /opac-tmpl/bootstrap/js/basket.js such as updateBasket try to access
and change values in the parent window (referred to as top.opener) - this is
blocked by the browser.

This did not work in my test.

 a) A superlibrarian

- This user could only set circ rules for their own library

 b) A user with all `parameters` permissions (the toplevel `parameters`
box is checked).

- This user could only set circ rules for their own library

 c) A user with the `manage_circ_rules` permission (and, of course,
`catalogue`).

- This user could set circ rules for all libraries.

 d) A user with the `manage_circ_rules`, `manage_circ_rules_restricted`
and `catalogue` permissions.

i've been setting all parameters in koha administration, my smtp service, and i
can't make working the "forgotten password" in opac.
when i click in link "forgotten password" it save the "email/message" in table
of database, i installed postfix and mailutil to make it work (with an external
smtp server) but it doesn't send email, but when i enter to the terminal and i
execute this command "sudo koha-shell library(instance name)" and then i
execute "/usr/share/koha/bin/cronjobs/process_message_queue.pl"
After those steps, finally i receive the email, so i think that i have to make
it manual way to make it work, i've been investigatin a lot! i read every
document and solution i've saw here and others page but i can't solve my
problem, i hope you can help guys, i will really aprecciate it!

Bug 20120 - Writeoffs for individual fees allows an amount to be written off
more than the amount of the fee

In short, it is possible to 'over-writeoff' a fee such that the value of the
fee is now a credit.

Test Plan:
1) Attempt to writeoff a single fee, set the amount input to more than
   the amount of the fee.
2) Note the writeoff makes the fee go negative
3) Apply this patch
4) Attempt to repeat step 1, you should not be able to over-writeoff the
   fee

Bug 19575: Use canonical field names and resolve aliased fields

Adjust elastic search mappings to more closely match Zebra equivalents
resolving serveral issues with coded Zebra searches in templates and
sorting of search results in UI. Also make field names in search strings
case insensitive to accept case variations in template links and user input.

Bug 11827: Untranslatable "Cancel Rating" in jQuery rating plugin

- Make the "Cancel rating" text translatable (and change
  capitalization to conform to Koha coding guidelines)
- Improve the two other messages to use formatted strings
  instead of concatenation.
- Use the exact same text for the "your rating" text, so it
  only appears once in the po-file.

Test plan:

1. See that the "Cancel rating" -text doesn't appear in
   po/xx-YY-opac-bootstrap.po
2. Note how there's two versions of the your rating -text
   ("your rating: %s, " and "your rating:") in the po-file
3. Apply patch
4. Update the xx-YY translation
5. Check the po-file. It should now contain the "Cancel rating"
   and a single "your rating: %s, "
6. Translate those texts, and update & install the language.
7. Go to the OPAC detail page of a biblio, and check the
   rating texts.
8. Hovering over the rating minus -sign should show the translated
   "Cancel rating"
9. Check that the text after the stars is correct with and without
   your rating

Attached patch provides a slew of fixes and optimizations to the Elasticsearch
code and related linking functionality. 

The optimizations are crucial for a usable process. On my development machine I
could only achieve speed of about 1 record per second before the changes. After
that it can handle 10-20 modified records and 100 checked records per second.
Additionally, avoiding creating a new indexer or searcher every time it's used
avoids crashing after a few thousand records due to file handles being
exhausted in the Catmandu or Elasticsearch modules.

That's the plan. We initially though that the first feature was completely
superseded by the second one.

By the way, how to name the "first feature"? (email that groups the prints of
user without email addresses)
Because I don't know how to name the future syspref.

Add a new system preference MarcFieldDocURL

Add a new system preference MarcFieldDocURL. Setting it to some URL
will make all the MARC documentation links point to that in
the MARC edit UI. Leaving the value empty will use the old defaults
(http://loc.gov for MARC21 and http://archive.ifla.org for UNIMARC).

There are some possible substitutions usable in the URL:
 - {MARC} is replaced with either "MARC21" or "UNIMARC"
 - {FIELD} is replaced by the MARC field number, eg. "000", "048", ...
 - {LANG} is replaced by the UI language, eg. "en", or "fi-FI"

To test:

1) Go to Cataloguing > New record
2) Clicking on the question mark links in the MARC edit will
   open a window to either loc.gov or archive.ifla.org
3) Install patch, run updatedatabase, etc
4) Redo parts 1, and 2.
5) Set the value of MarcFieldDocURL to
   http://example.com/?field={FIELD}={MARC}={LANG}
6) Redo parts 1 and 2
7) Clicking on the question mark links in the MARC edit will
   open a window to example.com, with the proper substitutions
   in the URL for the field, marc flavour and language
