It looks like you're setting TMPDIR in the Plack middleware, but that's probably only going to be relevant to the PSGI application rather than the Plack code around it. (We could do some benchmarking to figure out an optimal imit.) (The search results should be asynchronously loaded too but that's for another day.) If I recall correctly, Net::Z3950::ZOOM has the ability to do a certain amount of non-blocking I/O, so in theory you should also be able to do the facet fetching in parallel. I'd have to look into that further... My TODO list is already overfilled, but it would be interesting work to do. Actually, that could make for an interesting plugin. If we turned off facet fetching in the Perl search script and let a plugin take over. That might be a good way to do a proof-of-concept at the very least. This is inconsistent with the way we currently use DataTables in the OPAC, and the change was probably unintentional. This patch returns the default pagination configuration to what it was before: Off. The patch also updates opac-course-details.tt with the same DOM configuration as opac-course-reserves.tt. To test, apply the patch and view the list of course reserves and the list of titles attached to a course. In both cases there should be no pagination controls, and the tables should show all results. The patch also corrects a typo, "shelfbrowers" -> "shelf browser" To test, apply the patch and make sure the OPACShelfBrowser system preference is enabled. View the detail page for a bibliographic record with items. In the holdings table, you should see links labeled "Browse shelf." When you open the shelf browser there should be a link at the top that reads "Close shelf browser." If you have access to a screen reader, test that the hidden text is announced by the reader. We should expect one loop and a sum following some conditions, like I tried in my patch. That will highlight inconsistencies (like the one I raised in the previous comments). Also the amounts are always 10, so we cannot know which ones is really picked (reading the tests I mean). We should improve our test suite, and those tests are not in the right direction in my opinion.
