Re: [Koha-devel] Hackfest in Marseille (breaking news + call for sponsoring)

2015-01-16 Thread Owen Leonard
(note that I haven't asked Owen nor Chris whether they could join us. But
maybe, if someone want to sponsor their trip, that could be a welcomed idea
 !)

Paul, thank you very much for you kind words. I'm very grateful to
have been able to come to Marseille with BibLibre's sponsorship, and
it was a wonderful experience. Unfortunately it's too expensive for me
to be able to pay my own way -- especially with a family who wants me
to spend the travel budget on them ;) Perhaps when Chis wins the
lottery he can sponsor me?

If anyone is still trying to decide whether Hackfest in Marseille is
worth the trip -- IT IS. Paul and everyone at BibLibre are excellent
hosts. Go if you're able, and squash some bugs on my behalf.

Re: [Koha-devel] Clarification of Plack wiki insructions

I have to admit I've got lost in the plack scheme now..

Could we get some clarification on approaches.. We have 'Plack for
developers' pushed (bug 7844
http://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=7844),
'Plack with nginx for production' in testing (bug 9316
http://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=9316) and
I'm aware of at least two koha-plackify scripts lurking around,
Plackify-koha-common
https://github.com/JerseyConnect/Plackify-koha-common, koha-plack
http://git.catalyst.net.nz/gw?p=koha-plack.git.

I wonder if we can safely recommend/or safely discard any of these to
help clarify the 'best practice' approaches and get this moving
forward again.

ping ! I think this question is worth being investigated ! (and I would
be happy with some clarification too...)
