Re: [Koha-devel] Replacement of mailman (mailing lists)

2021-08-18 Thread Pablo Bianchi
Hi!

I created the Spanish community group back in 2008, recently moved to
mailman. I'd be more than happy if we move to something much more
modern/featureful/integratable and overall useful as Discourse (created by
Jeff Atwood (creator of Stack Overflow)). I believe this would give a major
boost to Koha communities.

Cheers,
Pablo

[Koha-devel] No error response with wrong set on OAI-PMH

2015-08-05 Thread Pablo Bianchi
Hi!

I notice that other implementations of OAI-PMH servers give an error when
setSpec specified doesn't exist. For example:

+ set=foo on Koha (

ByWaters

)

: List records anyway
+ set=foo on a Greenstone v2.82

: Return an error.

This behavior is expected? I shuld fill a bug?

Cheers,
Pablo

PS: BTW, with the use of that response is much nicer
than Koha one!

Re: [Koha-devel] SQL Reports Library v2.0

2015-05-19 Thread Pablo Bianchi
I'm very happy this brings enthusiasm!
In first place I think we should convert the big list to the template form
(probably the title will be repeated on template field).
Maybe we need some privileges on mediawiki, I need to study more about it
(mediawiki and their API), but the idea might be not just split the library
on other articles, just *transclude *them, call all the templates with a
giben label. Something like this
<http://en.wikipedia.org/w/api.php?action=query&list=embeddedin&eititle=Template:Infobox>?
An expert on mediawiki API would be great.

[Koha-devel] SQL Reports Library v2.0

2015-05-09 Thread Pablo Bianchi
Hi,

I count more than 300 reports on *SQL Reports Library*, is getting a little
bit out of control. Become difficult to:
+ found the needed report,
+ tag them,
+ talk about the report,
+ track easily contributions to each one,
+ link "related" reports, different flavors of the same one,
+ vote them,
+ add easily to Koha,
+ get statistic information,
and much more.

I'm not sure what is the best solution. An ad hoc web development? A friend
suggest me Semanticscuttle .
Trying to at least make things more tidy I create: SQL Reports Library in
templates

(equivalent
to the usual but using mediawiki templates). This use Template:Report
.

Some things happens (or will happen) with JQuery and SQL libraries: A wiki
page is not a good library/database.

[Koha-devel] Extending OPAC purchase suggestion fields

2015-04-14 Thread Pablo Bianchi
Hi!

Before using Koha we were using a local develop for purchase suggestion
requests («desdierata»). Now I'm trying to extend/add suggestion fields to
add some data we were asking in the form and Koha doesn't include,
something like what ExtendedPatronAttributes syspref does with patron
fields.
First I naively tried to add to opac-suggestions.tt
  Extrafield:

and  on submit:
  onsubmit="this.note.value=this.note.value+' - '+this.newfield.value;
return true;"

to concatenate extended fields (yeah, dirty) but it seems Suggestions.pm do
a foreach walk over form ids:
Software error: DBIx::Class::ResultSet::create(): No such column alum on
Koha::Schema::Result::Suggestion at /usr/share/koha/lib/C4/Suggestions.pm
line 450

Because I'm trying to touch the less as possible now I'm tring a JQuery
way, but maybe someone already found an easier way...

Pablo

[Koha-devel] TTF mapping on koha-conf.xml breaks Patron Card Creator

2015-03-10 Thread Pablo Bianchi
Hi,

I move a production server from A to B:
A) An "old" Debian Wheezy upgraded up to current 3.18.4.
B) A new Ubuntu Server 14.4 LTS fresh install, also 3.18.4.

On A the librarian use fine the unfriendly label creator but on B the
generated label was blank (only images). Database where identical so I
start looking logs and setup files. The "solution" was just comment out the
new XML section ** on koha-conf.xml.
+ I'm not sure what this section does, what I'm disabling.
+ I'm not sure if is related to bug 13709
.
+ Even logs where full of things like «Argument "377,33" isn't numeric in
addition» and «Use of uninitialized value» It seems have nothing to do with
the use of comma or dot as decimal separator on (not sanitized?) input
fields. I attach the output of something like *cat
intranet-error-cleaned.log | sort | uniq -c | sort -rn*

I know is a big move. I just want to know what does the community think. I
think will just complement, not replace the list. A lot of people isn't
familiar with this approach, but for others... Some of the benefits are
known: easier to find the answer to problems, analyze "hot" issues, easier
recognition to the ones who help more, etc.
You know I'm proud to have created the Spanish community group, and I don't
think this could (nor should) replace it, but it seems to me is matter of
time this kind of tool to be used in such a big project like Koha :)

Following StackOverflow sites like askubuntu.com or ask.libreoffice.org, I

[Koha-devel] Koha + LDAP

2013-06-07 Thread Pablo Bianchi
Hi all!

I'm trying to set up a Koha instance (stable, v3.12, koha-common) with an
OpenLDAP. I already setup koha-conf.xml and fix every LDAP error I had,
using the output of:
/usr/share/koha/opac/cgi-bin/opac/opac-user.pl userid="1"
password="1234" >/dev/null

But now this only gives me:
Use of uninitialized value $pki_field in string eq at
/usr/share/koha/lib/C4/Auth.pm line 789,  line 522.
Use of uninitialized value $pki_field in string eq at
/usr/share/koha/lib/C4/Auth.pm line 789,  line 522.
Use of uninitialized value $retuserid in string ne at
/usr/share/koha/lib/C4/Auth.pm line 826,  line 522.

Same on intranet-error.log or opac-error.log, trying via web; same lines if
ldap user or local user. But logging with local accounts works fine, the
problem is just with LDAP, which AFAIK use MD5, so I was wondering if all
this have something to do with bug
#9611.
Already installed Crypt::Eksblowfish::Bcrypt and Crypt::Random::Source
without luck. Using ldapsearch to fetch user information works fine.

Any ideas?

Regards,
Pablo

PS: JFTR, I needed to touch Auth_wiith_ldap.pm line ~81 (*my $filter...*)
to have only one hit (strange LDAP tree).
