I have a Type 1 VW and it's connected to the Diehl case with two studs at the
bottom and two bolts at the top. One of the bolts has a tapered shank because
the case hole (top left) is larger. Two questions: 1. Why is the one mounting
hole larger? and 2. What are the correct fasteners all around?

KR> Posa and Posa type situp

2010-08-16 Thread Philip S. Loux

Posa and Posa type problems? I have a lengthy VHS of Rex Taylor and his son,
Rex Taylor being the manufacturer of Posa Carburetors, in an instructional
course video on the Posa. It starts with bench dis-assembly, upgrading of older
models, charts on needle selection with explanation, and much more bench time.
Then shows in great detail how to adjust the Posa on a running stationary
engine, quit noisy. Then again on a engine mounted on a Dragonfly A/C, also
showing hand prop starting the Posa equipped engine on the Dragonfly and lastly
flying and adjusting mixture while watching engine tachometer and temperature
gauges. I think I can get the VHS copied into a DVD and mail them in US for
$19.60 if there is an interest. PayPal direct, be sure to included your mailing
address, or U.S. Postal Money Orders only, please. If you choose SnailMail way,
Email me that it is coming so I can start getting more copies made. For
Questions and PayPal Direct use philipsl...@hotmail.com

KR> RE: Bob Hoover

2010-08-16 Thread robert7...@aol.com
Thought I would past this on from the VW engine list.

Bob Hoover (VW Guru) pasted away over the weekend. Definitely one of my
hero's. Always a bit of an attitude with tons of knowledge that he pasted on
to a great following of VW engine builders.
