KR> KR2 Retract Landing Gear

2010-08-25 Thread Russ Keith
I have a KR1 project with a VW installed for sale. It is not complete but I
do have all the logs if you know of anyone interested. It was donated to my
High School Aircraft Technology program by the daughter of one the original
builders. We need the operating money way more than we need the plane. I
had hoped to finish the project but now feel that is impractical. The
project seems to be about 80% complete.

Does anyone have a complete set of the parts for the original main wheel
retract system for the KR2 they would like to sell. Respond to
patru...@myfairpoint.net. Thank you.

Pat,

I've been trying to E-mail you at patru...@myfairpoint.net regarding your query
about landing gear above but for some reason its not going through. E-mail me
direct and I'll return a note to you directly. For some reason your above web
address is not going through though. I have the gear that you are asking about
and would sell it to you if you are still looking.

Nice looking building Peter.

How did you shape the blue foam for the seats on your bird?

Was it sanded to shape or did you heat and bend? Or what?

For the rest of the guys on the net, they should take a look at the
craftsmanship you put into your buildings, it's reflected too in your
airplane.

KR> Fire Extinguisher

2010-08-25 Thread Virgil N. Salisbury
As it was explained to me, You can breath OK after the Halon is
released but
do not have anyone smoking when it is released. It causes respiratory
problems big time. It deprives the fire of Oxygen but there is
enough for
life support. Check this out for yourselves, Virg

KR> Fire Extinguisher

2010-08-25 Thread Patrick Driscoll
Mike. I would be very careful of Halon Extinguishers. Halon works because
it is inert and deprives the fire of air for fuel. That means that you have
no air in your cockpit to breath. With the air vents open, Halon cannot work
because it cannot smother the fire.
