I was able to sneak out from work today and get some flying in before sundown.  
It was clear and dry, so no good sunset pictures, but I did manage to do two 
landings each at four different airports, two of them "emergency" landings that 
worked out OK.  Well, I was a few feet short at my home airport and blasted 
through a little hedgerow...had to pick some weeds off the main wheel pants and 
tailwheel afterwards, but I was at least airborne at the time.  This was all in 
42 minutes of flying, so I wasn't just goofing around.  I spent some time 
tonight documenting what I'm doing with the oil cooler upgrade at 
http://n56ml.com/corvair/oil_system/ , although there's a LOT more to do there.

My friend Reg backed out of coming to the gathering so I have an open seat in 
the Cherokee. I will be leaving NE Tennessee flying to the gathering on 
Thursday and returning on Sunday weather premitting. If anyone in the vicinity

   A fellow at muhlenberge County Airport in Greenville Ky, has a kr that is 
well on it's way. I personally  have seen it,and the workmanship looks pretty

Phone line has been down for a day or I would have responded 
sooner.  I'd love to bring mine but not sure if I can pack for a 4 
day trip and get the guitar in the kr also. :-)

Any chance you have two guitars?  We can do some "jamming".  What 
kind of music do you play.  Anyone wanting to do a "sing-along", 
bring a copy of the lyrics to your songs.

I don't have a copy of the "Sanding" song but I did write one for the 
KR builders wives.  If we can rustle up a piano we can maybe get 
Willie Wilson to play a couple of tunes for us.  Airplanes and 
guitars.  My wife keeps asking, "can it get any better than that"?
