KR> selling a KR2-S with tricycle gear?
Then I'm interested. :) There is one on Barnstormers but it is tailwheel. Are they hard to convert if that is the only one available now? Closer to Huntsville, Alabama, the better. :) Thanks, David M.
KR> JD regulator question
According to John Deere Pin 4 of the JD 20 amp regulator is for a charging light but has been called an idiot light too. Which is it cause they ain't the same thing? I do have a voltage alarm module set for 11.5 volts to indicate a failed generator so If pin 4 does not need to be hooked up I will just leave it blank. KR> Icing. Glazing
> the best bang for the buck is to use a micro and resin. I agree with the previous statement. Although I would consider the best process a two-step process. Start with the resin and micro to take care of any big dips and pinholes. Then finish topcoat with the icing it's much easier to see any other bad spots and gives you a nice smooth finish that you can apply primer over. We have built and finished four Lancair Evolutions, they come in raw carbon. Orr first step is to slather the entire wing empanage and fuselage with micro and resin. Then with any other small areas we will skim with icing. This process is followed by the first layer of primer. The first layer of primer will show you any pinholes or missed areas. Most of that first layer of primer is sanded off to get rid of all your pinholes. Then we do another coat of primer over the entire airplane and it's flown it's first 40 hours in that primer.
KR> nice trip
