KR> Wing Cargo Wells?
Hi folks, Had a buddy tell me the other day about a Czech plane he saw recently... the Sportcruiser. When he googled a pic for me, I noticed the similarity in general form to the KR2. Then he started talking about how it had cargo wells in the wings... x number of pounds in each. Blah blah... then I began to wonder if anyone had tried wing cargo wells on a KR... Anyone know of any? Rich
KR> KR-2 Fuse at the EAA Woodworking Workshop
Hi folks, I had a chat yesterday with EAA's Mark Forss. He is the gentleman who coordinates the traveling road show that is EAA's SportAir Workshops. They came to near-by Columbus, Ohio in late October. The timing and proximity could hardly be better so I took in the composites workshop taught by Mark Forss himself. Recently, while looking through KRNet's archives I discovered an article from the Oct. 1975 Sport Aviation about the woodworking workshop at Airventure turning out a KR-2 fuse and most of a horizontal stab by weeks end. I had been wanting to fire off a note of thanks to Mark for such a well done effort on the October workshop when the thought occurred to me that it sure would be nice if a KR-2S fuse build were the focus of a workshop coming back to a future Oshkosh Airventure workshop. Now many of you are probably well past needing something like this, but I'm sure some of us would be greatly benefited and that would be a great way to draw attention to the KR in an audience of likely builders. Mark tells me that there are several woodworking projects being considered for upcoming Osh workshops and though the KR-2S wasn't one of them, he'd see that it was "thrown in the hat". Mark's email addy is mfo...@eaa.org and I bet it would "ramp up the momentum" if others among us fired off a note to him supporting the idea. Just a thought. Thanks, Rich

KR> Old set of plans / manual disappointing...
Hello all, I am considering the purchase of a set of plans for the KR-2S but before committing, I wanted to get a look at a construction manual. Recently I got a crack at just that: a KR-1 manual and plan-set from Rand Robinson Engineering which looked like they were from the early 70's seemed abysmally short on details. FYI, the plans number was KR-1 # 6215. The vagueness of this document set was a bit discouraging, leaving me with a definite sense of disconnect between the pretty pictures I had before me and my vision of the detailed drawings and written instruction I feel I will need to get through this project. Now that the material comes from NVAero and multiple decades have passed, can I assume the level of detailed information and quality of the direction in the manual has evolved (improved)? Rich

KR> KR2"T"
Hi all... I spotted a couple pix of a Tandem KR2 recently. Dubbed the KR2T, I'm wondering if this is a one-off? The builder mod plans from a KR1? Anyone with info on that? Link to pix: http://krbuilder.org/KR2T/index.html Thanks, Rich
KR> Plans...
I am considering a KR build project. I would like to do the full-up build working from plans without NVaero's "kit". Can anyone speak to how what literature comes with a plans set and how complete/descriptive that literature is for a first time builder? Thanks, Rich
