Marty,
Thanks for your inquiry. I have no use for a truck.
So according to your message I guess we won't be able to do any business.
If you somehow get rid of your truck and are still interested let me know
and I'll send you some pictures.

Greetings,
My KR2S is for sale. It has not been registered nor does it have an "N" number.
An EAA Designate has viewed the airplane and I completed his recommendations.
It is not 100% complete,re: paper work, labels on instrument panel, fitting

system.
The engine is a Subaru EA81 with reduction drive of 1.81. It has been
completely rebuilt and I have run the engine two hours on the Hobbs.
In order not to take up space on the Net I have not included pictures. If
anyone is interested I will Email pictures to you.

To all KR and other home builders. Sometimes we may think that the FAA is out
to put us out of business. On the contrary. They want to put us on the best
tract known for our safety and that of other people and property.
The following letter illustrates who is really determined to put us out of
business...permanently!

   Allah or Jesus?

   by Rick Mathes
Last month I attended my annual training session that's
required for maintaining my state prison security clearance.

During the training session there was a presentation by
three speakers representing the Roman Catholic, Protestant and
Muslim faiths, who explained each of their beliefs..

I was particularly interested in what the Islamic Imam had
to say. The Imam gave a great presentation of the basics of Islam
complete with a video. After the presentations, time was provided
   for questions and answers.

When it was my turn, I directed my question to the Imam and asked:
"Please, correct me if I'm wrong, but I understand that most Imams and
clerics of Islam have declared a holy jihad [Holy war] against the
infidels of the world. And, that by killing an infidel, which is
a command to all Muslims, they are assured of a place in
heaven. If that's the case, can you give me the definition of an
   infidel?"

There was no disagreement with my statements and without hesitation,
   he replied, "Non-believers!"

I responded, "So, let me make sure I have this straight.
All followers of Allah have been commanded to kill everyone
who is not of your faith so they can go to Heaven. Is that correct?"

The expression on his face changed from one of authority
and command to that of a little boy who had just gotten caught
with his hand in the cookie jar. He sheepishly replied, "Yes."

I then stated, "Well, sir, I have a real problem trying to
imagine Pope John Paul commanding all Catholics to kill those of
your faith or Dr. Stanley ordering Protestants to do the same in
   order to go to Heaven!"

   The Imam was speechless.

I continued, "I also have a problem with being your friend
when you and your brother clerics are telling your followers to
kill me. Let me ask you a question. Would you rather have your
Allah who tells you to kill me in order to go to Heaven or my Jesus who
tells me to love you because I am going to Heaven and He wants you
   to be with me?"

You could have heard a pin drop as the Imam hung his head
   in shame.

Needless to say, the organizers and/or promoters of the
"Diversification" training seminar were not happy with
Rick's way of dealing with the Islamic Imam and exposing the truth
   about the Muslim's beliefs.

I think everyone in the U.S. should be required to read
this, but with the liberal justice system, liberal media, and the
ACLU, there is no way this will be widely publicized.
Please pass this on to all your e-mail contacts. This is a
true story and the author, Rick Mathes, is a well-known leader in
   prison ministry.

2008-10-12 Thread arnold d. seligman
Dear KRs,

I have recently acquired a KR2S with a Subaru EA81 engine with reduction gear.
My problem is that I am unable to find a battery (electric start) that will
turn the engine over and fit into a battery box that measures 6 3/4" lg.x 4"
wd.x 4 1/2" ht.
Would appreciate your suggestions and direction.
Thanks,

KR> used builder's books

2008-10-12 Thread arnold d. seligman
KRs,
I am slowly coming to the realization that doing your own thing, using hardware
store bolts etc.,among other things does not sit well with people who know
aircraft maintenance, repair and building. Some of you may have seen the
television ads showing the father doing the laundry, picking up the kid's toys
etc and his little daughter continuing to say "thats not the way momma does
it". Well the same daggone thing applies to building a homebuilt aircraft. You
show your project to an A/P or I/A and you get the same response..."thats not
the way you do that".
So I am now looking for some builder's books that probably will not be used
again and someone who would like to sell them.
Eventually I would like to get to the point that I don't have to listen to that
phrase coming out of an inspector's mouth.
I sort of suspect that a few of you may have reached the same point of
frustration sometime in the past. I am probably wrong because most of you are
probably smarter than me to start with.
Regards and thanks for your help.

> On October 15, 2005, about 1025 eastern daylight time, a homebuilt KR2,
N212KR, registered to a private individual, crashed during unknown
circumstances in the Gulf of Mexico near Venice, Florida. Visual
meteorological conditions prevailed at the time and no flight plan was filed
for the 14 CFR Part 91 personal, local, flight from Venice Municipal Airport
(KVNC). The airplane was substantially damaged and the private-rated pilot,
the sole occupant was fatally injured. The flight originated about 0940,
from Venice Municipal Airport.
>
> Several individuals reported seeing the accident flight depart, though the
reported departure times varied. One individual who was flying reported
hearing on the KVNC UNICOM if anybody heard the signal from an emergency
locator transmitter (ELT). He reported flying over the area in question
(approximately 1 to 1.5 miles west of KVNC), and heard the ELT signal and
saw a "debris field" on the water surface. He called the KVNC UNICOM and
reported the latitude and longitude of the debris field. The pilot's body
was recovered later that day, and only pieces of airplane that floated
postaccident have been recovered.
