RE: KR> Canadian Bingelis etal/Eaa books
To all Canadian KR people and other lurkers like me, whenever you order books
from EAA be sure to have them shipped by USpost as they (EAA) usually use
Purlator or some  other type and you will be faced with an additional
'brokerage fee'. I ordered their Christmas special of the 3 book Bingelis
Special several years ago and was faced with an additional $38 brokerage fee -
not nice!. I phoned EAA about it and got no satisfaction and wonder if their
shipping rules still apply. ( I/we now have a US drop box that is only 60 miles
away for USA purchases - eliminating high delivery charges etc)

When in doubt, consult your Tony Bingelis book with the chart of amp

loads and wire size needed, in a bundle or open air. Everyone

building should have all of Tony's books, especially his first

three. "..Larry Flesner

RE: Glenda McElwee email to KR list

I received an email on the KR list yesterday afternoon supposedly from Glenda.
I saw a number of folks on the KR list attached to it as well (Joe Horton etc)
and believed it to be OK. When I opened, what looked like a photo album, I was
puked op with a number of Trojan viruses. It was a good thing I had a good
anti-virus system in place.

Did anyone on the KR list get it too, and if so has anyone investigated the
root of the viruses and who sent them? I'm sure Glenda didn't, maybe someone
she pissed off raided her name and dropped a the bomb .

I won't open an attachment on the list for awhile, unless I verify it somehow.

I am writing this from my room just outside of Sun n Fun (Plant City) and
drove by the airport about an hour ago and it is wet! Trees are pulled out and
in the airport site two guys who were back at the motel told of 5 or six planes
got flipped into others as well as tents going down. A Caravan flipped
over...that's big! I am going to try tomorrow if it isn't too swampy and if the
weather is good it should be a big day...see some of you there!

Gary-Canada

Lots of large thunderstorms,

Though Friday-Sunday is expected to be nice and sunny and NO rain.

Sorry for anyone that has lost thier plane, my projects are like other

children, I would hate to lose one like that.

I'm guessing this has kept alot of people from making it down. I bet Friday

and Sat are going to be real BIG!

Hey guys I am going to trailer a KR2 and need to know the size of an enclosed
trailer to do the job. The bird has to be outside for awhile.  What is the
length and width the internals need to be to accept the KR? And the height?
(wings are off) I'm thinking 8' wide x 15' long x 4' high? (w/o engine)  Any
easy trailer tips as I might convert my boat trailer?

Wicks today, was asking for support for GAN and I was perusing around and found
these gems from Sportys new 'T' shirt logos:

It only takes two things to fly: Airspeed and Money is the message of
one shirt. Another charts the four forces of flight, which are dreams (up),
reality (down), money (forward) and the FAA (backward). A third shirt explains
the FAA mission, which is Were not happy until youre not
happy. Then theres the dictionary definition of
pilot which is the highest form of life on earth.

I forgot to mention the one thing I did differently then most

builders do. I attached the tail wheel cable to the rudder cable

inside the fuselage and they exit the fuselage through different fair

leads. I did this so the "pull angle" of the tail wheel cable is in

line with the rudder cable and does not pull the rudder cable at an

angle when rudder pressure is applied. Most set ups have the cables

connected outside the fuselage and, with the tail wheel on the ground

and full rudder peddle deflection, you could be stressing your rudder

stop if it is located at the rudder and not on the peddles

themselves. Any side loads on my tail wheel, when not running in

line with the aircraft, are transferred in a straight line to my

peddles and not pulling the rudder cable at an angle causing

additional rudder deflection. Clear as mud, right??

I have been working on a KR2 that is for sale. Not my Snakebite. The

original owner is in AZ he sold it to a guy in WA who had a nose gear

failure, and it flipped. We are about done with all of the repairs. I

have

photos to send to anyone off line. It is a KR2 2100 revmaster, trike,

with

a new Todd's canopy. all of the other goodies that you may want.

Starting

price will be 12,000. It is a good built KR2

not a pdf or a drawing or a Word file.

Reread the my previous post. I ran across this ad on barnstormers.com and know
nothing about it beyond what's in the ad. It is located somewhere in NY. An

Also in 'Contact' is a propeller 'story/discussion' by Paul Lipps
