I know the hoz stab has been made larger (giving same effect? as making elevator smaller), but in looking at aircraft tails most seem to have 2/3 non movement and 1/3 moveable do we need that much elevator area? After about five minutes I realized I had my cell phone and I had to call my answering machine in the house about 15 times to wake up my wife so she could come to the garage and get me a pair of pliers to pull out the drill bit. I had a hell of a time getting her to wake up and was about to call Dean Cooper and ask him to drive over and get me out. Don't try this one yourself. I never heard the trains, Must have been that fine Canadian whiskey that kept them away! But it was Chilly on sun night, only time I woke was when the cold air hit my face! And to Larry who In my book is a great guy I asked him where i could find a shower and he gave me a key to his room and said here take one! now that is a good guy in my book. Take note for next year there is some big fish in that pond! I didn't hear the train but I heard some BIG SPLASHES and some stories from locals! so bring your fishing pole! Orma Yes, you want to keep to turbo and the exhaust pipes hot as you will lose velocity in the moving exhaust gas as it cools. Remember hot air is big and will shrink as it cools (not the thing you want when using exhaust pressure spin a turbo) A trick it to use header wrap on the housing and pipes this will reduce the temps out side the wrap while keeping the exhaust gas hot. I have used this wrap many times in auto applications and it is amazing how much heat it reflects back in to the exhaust. On one Honda civic B16 conversion I did the header is 1/2 inch from the radiator fan and after wrapping the header you can touch it without burning your hand. Tip soak the wrap first before you wrap your pipes it conforms much better wet. Then hose clamp the ends and soak with hi temp paint and you will have a nice insulated pipe that will hold up to the elements better.
