KR> flying stories ?

All the best Mark. Glad to hear you are OK.
I know just how you feel.
Sounds like similar damage as mine had.

They are a mighty aircraft, and easy to repair.

It will be interesting to see your next engine design.

Also remember a belted gear reduction will take the loads and not the crank,
the engine can the produce the RPM it was designed to, and produce the HP it
is said to.

You can also run a larger prop or more pitch or both.

KR> Fuel System

2011-08-04 Thread phillipmathe...@bigpond.com
When first installed, I noted that it would nearly flood the engine and
that an immediate leaning of the mixture was required whenever it was
turned on. I solved this one by installing a 5/32" bypass line from the
pump outlet back to the header tank. Mixture adjustments from pump on
to pump off are now minimal.

Facet come in all different PSI pressures.

My carb ONLY needs 3psi. So find out what you need and buy a inline
pressure reduction, or but the correct pressure pump.

I have a great unit one on my KR but I am away at the moment and can not
remember the name.

Sid.
I was reading your web page fuel tank section, and was wondering what you
used and how you sealed you fuel tank inspection ports, and your unions you
used for the vents.

KR> Removable Turtle Deck

2011-05-11 Thread phillipmathe...@bigpond.com
I have some questions about whether or not to build my TD removable.
For those that did, have you found it useful? Is it worth carrying that
extra weight in the tail to do so?
For those who didn't, have you been able to maintain your aircraft without?

Paul

I have a complete removable forward and Turtle deck. No crawling under dash
or peaking through inspection holes.

The turtle deck comes completely off in a few mins. I removed it at the
Natfly a few weeks ago in Temora and bystanders could not believe their
eyes. (thanks Mark L for your ideas).

I can do a complete inspection in mins. WOULD not be without it. I am doing
same on my current project.
