KR> KR2S project for sale

2015-11-12 Thread Evans Powell
Have a KR2S kit I won't be able to finish for a long time; too long.
Signed a mobility agreement and will now be going overseas.

I bought this kit near day VFR completion. I am TAKING OFFERS from those
who are serious. If you want a KR2S that is pristine and doesn't need work
then please don't waste your time; or mine.

Here are some details.

Have original plan book
Kit is on its wheels (tail dragger)
Needs canopy attached (tinted dragon fly) Parts are there for Mark Langford
style mounting.
No interior made
Current panel has Grand Rapids EFIS, ignition, Alt, Airspeed, (day VFR)
Have most of the original paperwork and kit number docs
Running HAPI 1835 (mounted but no longer hooked up; preparing to remove and
replace with stronger 2100 or Corvair)
Great Plains VW manual
two appropriate Corvair cores for WW conversion (WW conversion
manual included)
No cowling or spinner
Has Sterba prop
Previous workmanship is structurally sounds but not the prettiest I've seen.
Exterior has been primed and partly sanded; needs more cosmetic work prior
to paint.

I am not interested in haggling with anyone. If you are interested we can
talk offline and then you can make an offer. I need to sell this by the
end of the year; late January by the absolute latest.

Please contact me offline if interested.

Cheers,

Evans.

KR> KR2S Project For Sale

2013-10-09 Thread Jeff York
Find out if they are sold or not. I am close enough that I can easily come get
them. My only hesitation is being a novice on the Corvair motors and which
serial number or block or whatever is the right one verses the wrong one
according to WW and the Corvair experts. Maybe Dan Heath can chime in and help
me.

I am also so over loaded with projects and my business right now and I am also
looking and buying a Cozy Mark IV or Long Eze. I had a Varieze years ago and
loved everything about it except hand propping it and no generator. I know this
statement is going to cause a roar but, I also want a serious cross country
plane and the KR is not it. Not in my book. Not fast enough and not enough
useful load. Dont get me wrong, I love my KR but I wouldn't jump in it and fly
it to Florida on a whim. Then again, finding time to fly is my greatest
challenge right now. I have not had a vacation in more years than I can
remember. So, the blame falls on me. Ok, I kinda drifted off subject there.

I have decided to sell the KR2S project I purchased earlier this year. This
plane was built by the late Sam Sayer. Craftmanship is 1st class. The plane
is ready for FFW and final assembly. I will be adding current pictures to
the website this weekend. I have posted all the construction sequence
pictures.
Price is $3000 or Best Offer.

Pictures and details can be seen at:

KR> KR2S Project for sale - Price Reduced

2010-01-23 Thread RSmith
KR2S Homebuilt Experimental Airplane Project For Sale
Price Reduced to $2495
Spruce/aircraft ply/fiberglass composite low wing 2 passenger, approx 45%
finished
Robert Smith, Mechanicville, NY cell 518 8784482. rsmith...@nycap.rr.com
1/17/10

I worked years on this project. The real value to you is the labor I have put
into it. By buying this half-built project you can save yourself years of
work. Just finish it in half the time and fly it. This KR has been built to my
high standards so you can feel confident about the craftsmanship. The project
is beautifully constructed so far with logbooks and test samples on the
project. I'm moving and have medical problems so it doesn't make sense for me
to finish this project. You may not realize all the hours and work it takes to
construct to this stage. Each section is assembled with the correct shape and
tight tolerances. No warps or misalignments. Everything is straight, true and
strong. I used T88 epoxy adhesive (considered the best) to construct the
spruce/ply and aeropoxy w heated cure for the fiberglass surfaces. All
double-taper wing spars are completely assembled (this took lots of work). The
RR plans were followed except for two modifications: To improve shoulder room,
I widened the fuselage an inch. And to improve pitch stability, I widened the
horizontal stabilizer (and elevator) by 3 inches per side. Includes a Dragonfly
canopy that is aerodynamically very sleek. Includes many assembled components.
An engine and gear are not included. Wing kit is available.

Here's what I have into it: Complete aircraft spruce/ply kit, T88 $1500, wing
attach fittings $450, hinges,foam, fiberglass,fillers, epoxy, hardware $500,
Canopy w frame, forward deck $700, Plans $240, and lots of manhours worth
thousands. Valued at $6K w about $3390 in parts alone. Total asking price is
$2495 for the project with many assembled sections. Other reasonable offers
considered. Email me at rsmith...@nycap.rr.com for info or photos. Location is
6 Bennington Ave, Mechanicville, NY (N of Albany). Tel “Bob” at 518 5413248 or
cell 8784482. Photos available on request.

This project consists of:

Rand Robinson KR2S plans
Rand Robinson KR2S builders instruction book
Complete set of spruce from Wicks (set used to construct sections listed below)
Fuselage near completion with aircraft mahogany plywood
Composite Fiberglass/foam horizontal stabilizer near completion w hinges
Composite fiberglass/foam elevator with carbon-fiber reinforced sharp edges
near completion w hinges
Composite fiberglass/foam vertical stabilizer near completion
Composite fiberglass/foam rudder foamed, needs to be shaped & glassed
Complete set of (2) fore and aft main box wing spars completed
Complete set of (4) outer double tapered wing spars completed
Complete set of 16 laser cut, powder coated wing attach fittings
Optical quality, very aerodynamic acrylic canopy (Dragonfly model)
2 fiberglass composite bulkheads (1 for the canopy, one for the aft section)
composite canopy frame supports
1 composite fiberglass/foam forward deck
Wing ribs cut to shape.
Polyurethane foam
½ inch urethane foam sheets, ¼ urethane foam sheets
Polyethylene foam, 1 section
¼ inch aircraft plywood for firewall
1/8 inch aircraft ply for flooring
Radio antenna and coax (for Vstab)
Various aircraft-grade hardware and T6 alum for motor mounts

Hi guys!  You may not remember me but I went to the KR gathering in Colombia
Tennessee and started this project shortly after that. I am now moving in a
month and have had health problems so I can only get my medical on special
issuance. SoI'm selling my project that I loved so dearly. Hope to find it
a good home with someone who will finish and fly it.

I have done much of the hard work. Now all you have to do is finish it and fly
it. I am a perfectionist and a skilled builder. This KR has been built to my
high standards so you can feel confident about the craftsmanship. The project
is beautifully constructed so far. I have maintained logbooks and test samples
on this project.  I?m moving and have medical problems so it doesn?t make sense
for me to finish this project. Just looking at what I am selling you may not
realize all the hours and work it took to construct it to this stage. Each

warps or misalignments. Everything is straight, true and strong. I have used
T88 epoxy adhesive (considered the best) to construct the spruce/ply and

the fuselage a little (one inch). And to improve pitch stability, I widened
the horizontal stabilizer (and elevator) by 3 inches per side. Includes a
Dragonfly canopy that is aerodynamically very sleek. Includes many assembled
components. An engine and gear are not included.  Right now I'd like to sell it
as an entire project, but may consider selling off the pieces later.

Here's what I have into it: Complete aircraft spruce/ply kit, T88 $1500, wing
attach fittings $450, hinges,foam, fiberglass,fillers, epoxy, hardware $500,
Canopy, canopy frame, forward deck $700, Plans $240, and lots and lots of
manhours. Total about $3390 in parts alone. Im adding $1000 in labor (a big
bargain). Total asking price is $4390 for the project with many assembled
sections. Reasonable offers will be considered.   Photos available. Email me at

of Albany). Tel ?Bob? at 518 8776056

This project now consists of:

And hidden deep inside the main spar is a tiny bird's "feather" to give the
project the right karma.
I think this project is less than 50% completed so you can be the builder.

T88 epoxy adhesive (considered the best) to construct the spruce/ply and
aeropoxy for the fiberglass surfaces. All double-taper wing spars are
completely assembled . The RR plans have been followed except for two
modifications. To improve shoulder room. I widened the fuselage a little (one
inch). And to improve pitch stability, I widened the horizontal stabilizer (and
elevator) by 3 inches per side. Includes a Dragonfly canopy that is
aerodynamically very sleek. Includes many assembled components. An engine and
gear are not included. Right now I'd like to sell it as an entire project, but
may consider selling off the pieces later.

Email me at
rsmith...@nycap.rr.com for info or photos. Location is Ballston lake, NY (20N
of Albany). Tel “Bob” at 518 8776056

This project now consists of:

Rand Robinson KR2S plans
Rand Robinson KR2S builders instruction book
Complete set of spruce from Wicks (set used to construct sections listed below)
Fuselage near completion with aircraft mahogany plywood
Composite Fiberglass/foam horizontal stabilizer near completion w hinges
Composite fiberglass/foam elevator with carbon-fiber reinforced sharp edges
near completion w hinges
Composite fiberglass/foam vertical stabilizer near completion
Composite fiberglass/foam rudder
Complete set of (2) fore and aft main box wing spars completed and looking
beautiful and strong.(not yet drilled)
Complete set of (4) outer double tapered wing spars completed (not yet drilled)
Complete set of 16 laser cut, powder coated wing attach fittings
Optical quality, very aerodynamic acrylic canopy (Dragonfly model)
2 fiberglass composite bulkheads (1 for the canopy, one for the aft section)
2 composite canopy frame supports
1 composite fiberglass/foam forward deck
Polyurethane foam, 2 boxes
½ inch urethane foam sheets, 1 box
Polyethylene foam, 1 section
¼ inch aircraft plywood for firewall
1/8 inch aircraft ply for flooring
Radio antenna and coax (for Vstab)
Various aircraft-grade hardware
Leftover mahogany aircraft plywood
Fiberglass cloth in various thicknesses, approx 4 rolls
Carbon fiber reinforcement cloth
An instrument panel template
Loads of printed Krnet helpful hints

And hidden deep inside the main spar is a tiny bird's "feather" to give the
project the right karma.
I think this project is less than 50% completed so you can be the builder.

I also have pieces of aircraft steel for wing attach fittings if you want to
make your own. Already cut to width. Make me an offer. Will sell separately
from project.

You need to put an http:// in front of it, just like for virtually
everything else on the web, as in http://users.adelphia.net/~williammoat/

2008-10-12 Thread Larry Flesner

Netters,

I'm forwarding an e-mail from Dick Goff of Vincennes, Indiana.
He related to me that health and other issues forces him to
sell his project. His phone number is included in the body of
the e-mail and I included his e-mail address with his name
at the bottom. If interested, call or contact him directly. I have
not seen the project and have no first hand knowledge of
quality of construction. It does sound like a good start if
anyone is interested in the construction method laid out in
the e-mail. If he gets no response, he will be listing it on
Barnstormers or other sites.
