Netters I am looking for a mag to put on a 2180 VW engine I have for the mouse trap. I could buy a rebuilt one , but I would really like to find one reasonably priced. Please email me off net so we can keep the traffic down. Bob Glidden CX4 #328 Eminence, Indiana glid...@ccrtc.com

KR> Magneto Wanted
A KR builder in Australia, needs a REV Master Magneto- He lost his KR in a Hanger fire with 40 hours on the clock, they dragged the engine out with and damaged the Mag. He is going to start building again soon. The magneto numbers Bendix D4RN-3000 ( Mag No. 10-68255512) or Dual Mag 3000 series. KR> Magneto and engine starting
Without impulse coupling or something like it, a mag can be a bear to start. The old Jacob round engines got around this by having a mag and a distributor. You started the engine on the distributor (just like your car prior to the modern electronic ignitions) and then added the mag. I suspect that you could have both the mag and the distributor on when starting but I was taught the other way. John Milland
KR>Magneto point gap settimg
Hi all Kr netters I have a revmaster 2100 in my KR, I just did a top overhaul and now (or before I bought it) cannot get a spark out of the magneto. Long story short, what is the gap for the magneto points?? I removed the mag after I could not get a spark thinking that the mag was bad. This was after much troubleshooting. I was playing with it in my hand after removal and got shocked. I know that a CDI would be the best replacement but. just to d expensive Sugestions?? Thanks Brian G.
