I really wouldn't mind managing the KR Gathering web site for the group. I would like to get the KRGathering.org domain name back, but don't know if it's available yet. Probably the biggest problem for me to set it up is to zip up and download all the photos from the previous gatherings currently found on Steve's site . That's probably why those links are not functioning on John's Gathering web site. It is very tedious to download all photos individually to recreate the site. But if you're looking for a volunteer, I would be willing to set up and manage the Site. -Jeff Scott Los Alamos, NM > > > It won't be my call but, as a member of the steering committee, my > preference would be to have a site like Bob Lee maintained for us > at krgathering.org where Gathering info, photos, and financial > reports are all on one conveniently located site. You also need to add a registration that gets updated when submitted and probably should have it set up to take payment for items ordered, so the host does not get left holding the bag. I just went through the whole list of Gathering photos at http://bouyea.net/KRGathering and found only 1990 & 2001 weren't working. I'll get on that after I make some progress working on my KR today! I spoke with Mark about being his backup. Since he has the KRNet.Org domain name, it makes sense to have a backup admin. Mark, whenever you're ready I can port the KRGathering stuff to the KRNet.Org site as a set of subpages. Then accessing that collection will just be more pages on the same site. Going forward, I volunteer to admin the Gathering content or to pass the keys to the then-current/ next year's host if they want to do it themselves.
