You have been subscribed to a public bug: Binary package hint: kdm-kde4 After upgrading to KDE 4.0.4, the login screen now doesn't have the nice background it had. [Bug 15514] Re: clock applet shows UTC time not timezone time when NTP used
Problem happens here in a brand new Ubuntu 8.04, with Gnome. I edited /etc/default/rcS as it is shown below and problem persists: # # /etc/default/rcS # # Default settings for the scripts in /etc/rcS.d/ # # For information about these variables see the rcS(5) manual page. # # This file belongs to the initscripts package. TMPTIME=0 SULOGIN=no DELAYLOGIN=no UTC=no VERBOSE=no FSCKFIX=no === Also I tried symlinking or copying the timezone from /usr/share/zoneinfo to /etc/localtime, rebooting several times, but no success. The only thing that worked for me was setting the time by hand. I have no UTC option on the applet, looks like gnome removed the checkbox, as I verifed with some other users. -- clock applet shows UTC time not timezone time when NTP used https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/15514 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Team, which is a direct subscriber. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
[Bug 222122] Re: Theme looks horrible in Kubuntu Hardy
Agree. It looks especially horrible with tabmixplus installed - the tabs on the top row overlap the tabs on the bottom row. Radio buttons and check boxes don't show while active (highlighted, or whatever), and only re-appear when the highlight is moves to another object or link. Text select areas allow you to select an item, and it looks fine, but when the highlight is moved to another object or link, the selected item loses it's colour and goes back to normal, so you can't tell if you've got anything selected.. ** Changed in: firefox (Ubuntu) Status: New = Confirmed ** Also affects: kubuntu-meta (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Theme looks horrible in Kubuntu Hardy https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/222122 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Team, which is subscribed to kubuntu-meta in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs

[Bug 187340] Re: [Crash] Kopete, can't add MSN account
Can you please include the version of ubuntu you're running? Please do the following: 1) The release of Ubuntu you are using, via 'lsb_release -rd' or System - About Ubuntu. 2) The version of the package you are using, via 'apt-cache policy packagename' or by checking in Synaptic. Also, add the account into kopeterc, but make sure that ExcludeConnect=true for the account so that kopete starts up. After this, change the status for the account to online, this should generate a crash log. Post this. As for me, I'm experiencing this issue. I edited kopeterc to exclude my msn accounts from auto-login, and kopete starts up just fine. It is when the msn account begins connecting that Kopete crashes. I have attached the crash log when I change the status to online. Mostly Crystal (the beta version for FF 3) actually makes it look decent, even without a Qt interface. [Bug 227904] Re: KDE4 login screen is missing background (regression: 4.0.4)
I can confirm this also. When I click on the menu dialog it renders the wallpaper for that area after the dialog hides so its like the wallpaper is there somewhere behind that or something. I tried to play around with kdm configuration of wallaper and themes and could not get any background to display. -- KDE4 login screen is missing background (regression: 4.0.4) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/227904 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Team, which is subscribed to qt4-x11 in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
