[Bug 216697] Re: kdm crashes with pam_thinkfinger
Thinkfinger will be going away next release (10.04) anyways, (http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=546005) so I doubt this will be fixed. ** Bug watch added: Debian Bug tracker #546005 http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=546005 ** Changed in: kdebase-workspace (Ubuntu) Status: Triaged = Won't Fix -- kdm crashes with pam_thinkfinger https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/216697 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to kdebase-workspace in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs

[Bug 420086] Re: kdm crashed with SIGSEGV in vfprintf()
Thinkfinger is dead (no upstream activity for 2 years) and has been removed from Debian, which means that it will probably be removed from Ubuntu in coming releases. There hasn't really been any maintenance of the current KDM thinkfinger plugin from the KDE side at all either, and currently it's pretty broken. For these reasons there's a very low likelihood of this being fixed. Though as you said, this won't really be hurting anybody. (and people won't even notice after apport crash detection is turned off for the final release.) Thanks for the bug report all the same, and have a nice day. ** Changed in: kdebase-workspace (Ubuntu) Importance: Medium = Low ** Changed in: kdebase-workspace (Ubuntu) Status: New = Won't Fix -- kdm crashed with SIGSEGV in vfprintf() https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/420086 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs

[Bug 415482] Re: KDM Log Out = Blank Screen
There have been issues with X crashing upon log out. To properly triage this, the Ubuntu X team would need a copy of /var/log/Xorg.0.log.old and a copy of the output of the command lspci -vvnn attached to the bug. (Preferably you could test from Kubuntu 9.10, to see if it still happens with the new drivers) As a separate issue, KDM doesn't restart X on these logout crashes, leaving you with the blank screen symptom: bug 432521. ** Package changed: kdebase-workspace (Ubuntu) = xserver-xorg-video- intel (Ubuntu) ** Changed in: xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Medium ** Changed in: xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu) Status: New = Incomplete -- KDM Log Out = Blank Screen https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/415482 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to kdebase-workspace in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
