[Bug 1406477] [NEW] KDE NM connection editor shuffles the connection list upon connection

2014-12-30 Thread Uqbar
Public bug reported:

== How to reproduce
0. Define 4 wired connections. I have 1 normal and 3 VPN.
1. Activate the main wired connection
2. Activate any of the Available connections

== What happens
The list of the available connections is shuffled. The one with connection in
progress goes last in the list, while the mouse now points to a different
connection button.
The connection in progress is displayed below the connection name, but there
is no other sign, not even bold typeface.
As the connection succeeeds it will go in the Active connections part of the
widget.
Upon disconnection the conenction will be put back in the available section,
but at a position other than the original one.

== What should happen instead
Whatever makes more sense.
Shuffling that list is nonsense and adds confusion, especially in crowded
connection lists.
My personal opinions: Keep the original connection order. There is no way to
define it, though.

Screenshots are added below.

[Bug 1404581] Re: Missing debugging symbols for kosnole

2014-12-30 Thread Javier
Hi,

what exactly means that the proposed on Vivid are not supported?, I know
is the development version and I'm aware of it's alpha 1 state.

Regarding the bug, I have seen you link, but even though that probably
works it does not resolve this bug; the problem is that the KDE
reporting tool is unable to find a package with suitable debug symbols
for konsole; even with konsole-dbg installed.

[Bug 1205523]

2014-12-30 Thread Harald Sitter
Are you sure dpkg's behavior makes sense here?

if I install a package that is arch:i386 on arch:amd64, arch:all really
shouldn't mean arch:amd64. granted it's a bit of a corner case to begin
with but it sounds somewhat weird.

[Bug 1205523]

2014-12-30 Thread Harald Sitter
Git commit 06daa82d426009f283b2cd4f15ed6bcef66a22b0 by Harald Sitter.
Committed on 28/12/2014 at 19:16.
Pushed by sitter into branch 'master'.

do not discard the exitcode when installing a deb through dpkg

exitstatus only has baring when dpkg segfaults etc, exitcode is the real
deal when dpkg exits in a controlled manner but with error

raising errors on exitcode!=0 is a requirement for allowing deb-installer
to give consistent UI feedback

[Bug 1325801] Re: failed to boot from USB disk with error: gfxboot.c32: not a COM32R Image boot:

2014-12-30 Thread Ravi Teja
Also reproducible when using the below mentioned versions and 14.10 ISO:
http://releases.ubuntu.com/14.10/ubuntu-14.10-desktop-amd64.iso.torrent

:~$ usb-creator-gtk --version
0.2.23

:~$ lsb_release -a
No LSB modules are available.
Distributor ID: Ubuntu
Description:Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS
Release:14.04
Codename: trusty

It really sucks when I try to convince people about ubuntu having the
fastest installation and it's unable to boot
