[Bug 1451728] Re: kde-config-telepathy-accounts package install error

2015-05-11 Thread Ales
Peter Chibunna (peterchibunna) wrote on 2015-05-08:
This makes apt-get install to break.

I can confirm that. Any attempt to install/remove/purge anything results:
kde-telepathy-minimal : Depends: kde-config-telepathy-accounts (= 0.9.0) but
it is not installed
Unmet dependencies
then ends without doing anything.

Running apt-get -f install doesn't help.

[Bug 1450137] Re: Qt5 applications crash when switching screens

2015-05-11 Thread Timo Jyrinki
Can anyone test on wily (or just add the PPA for wily on vivid) with the
5.4.1-1ubuntu8 version from https://launchpad.net/~ci-train-ppa-
service/+archive/ubuntu/landing-002 ?

I still get a crash of Qt Creator when plugging/unplugging with the
patch included. Does it improve the situation for anyone?

[Bug 1452313] Re: notifications don't go away

2015-05-11 Thread erugg
Confirmed.

Particularly, in my case notifications about Wi-Fi don't fade away
(losing connection, succesful connection, 'can't scan while already
scanning')

Temporary solution - restart plasma:
Alt+F2
killall plasmashell
plasmashell

Then the notifications 'catch up', i.e. the ones that should have
appeared after the one which was stuck, appear for a brief moment and
the fade away normally

[Bug 1451728] Re: kde-config-telepathy-accounts package install error

2015-05-11 Thread Peter Chibunna
I did this just to get apt-get to work again, since I need to install
other things.

`sudo apt-get update` then
`sudo dpkg -i --force-overwrite
/var/cache/apt/archives/kde-config-telepathy-accounts_15.04.0-0ubuntu1~ubuntu15.04~ppa1_amd64.deb`

I don't know the long-term effects but since I'm can do without
telepathy at the moment, I allowed the overwrite because it seems that
the new provider file is from and for kde and not the standard sso.

[Bug 1454010] [NEW] client crashes when monitor unplugged

2015-05-11 Thread Michael Hudson-Doyle
Public bug reported:

Happens 100% of the time for me: put quasselclient (0.12.2-0ubuntu0.1)
on external monitor, unplug it (or disable monitor in control panel),
boom client crashes. I'll attach a traceback from gdb.

This sounds very similar to bug 1406288 and bug 1438931 so maybe it's a
general Qt problem? I'm using the default vivid desktop i.e. unity.

[Bug 1448345] Re: Akonadi personal information management service not operational after upgrading

2015-05-11 Thread cardonator
I am having the same problem. It appears that the file:

$HOME/.local/share/akonadi/mysql.conf

is not set up properly. I have been using 15.04 since Beta 1 and this
only started happening in the RC right before release.

The first error (about TIMESTAMP) could be resolved by adding

explicit_defaults_for_timestamp = 1

to the config file mentioned above.

Afterwards, it seems like mysql dumping out output is causing a problem
as I get this in the log:

stderr: 2015-05-11 10:40:48 0 [Note] /usr/sbin/mysqld (mysqld 5.6.24-0ubuntu2)
starting as process 3635 ...

And then akonadiserver fails to launch.

I am stumped. I'm not sure how to prevent output on starting the mysql
server.
