Running kbuildsycoca5 to recreate the KService desktop file system
configuration cache fixes the problem.

[Bug 1450137] Re: Qt5 applications crash when switching screens

2015-06-16 Thread Arne Henningsen
I guess that this is the same bug as:

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=349197

A developer at bugs.kde.org claims that this bug was fixed in Qt version
5.4.2 and I got the advice to upgrade from Qt version 5.4.1 to version
5.4.2. Is there a PPA with Qt 5.4.2 for (K)Ubuntu 15.04 or another easy
(and low-risk) way to upgrade Qt to version 5.4.2?

[Bug 1450137] Re: Qt5 applications crash when switching screens

2015-06-16 Thread Timo Jyrinki
Unfortunately there's no Qt 5.4.2 PPA for 15.04, and no backportable
commits have been found that would actually fix the problem.

However, as of an hour ago 15.10 now has Qt 5.4.2, so marking this bug
as fixed even though the bug number was not included in the bug report.
Testing whether Qt 5.4.2 actually fixed the problem in wily would be
welcome.
