[Bug 1569357] Re: Ubuntu 16.04 - Unity desktop session broken when using non-LightDM as X Display Manager

2016-05-12 Thread 林博仁
** Description changed:

As title, you'll only see your desktop file icons, no launcher and
  status bar are displayed.

- You can only reproduce this issue if you choose to use SDDM as the default X
display manager(e.g. LightDM has no this issue)
- UPDATE: Not only SDDM! Currently most non-LightDM I tested has the same
issue.
+ You can only reproduce this issue when you choose non-LightDM DMs as
+ well as the default X display manager

  * SDDM: reproduced
  * GDM3: not even launch-able on my system so can't verify
  * LXDM: reproduced

This issue doesn't exist in Ubuntu 15.10, only in 16.04

[Bug 1581213] [NEW] xembedsniproxy fails bad with java apps (jitsi)

2016-05-12 Thread Sergio Callegari
Public bug reported:

Plasma 5.5 should provide support for applications using the older xembed
systemtray protocol.
Unfortunately, this does not still work as it should.

Java apps and specifically jitsi (a voip application) fail to provide a
working systemtray icon with xembedsniproxy. At times the icon appears,
at times it does not and even when it appears it is non-functional (i.e.
clicking on it does not open any menu).

Jitsi reports that the systemtray did not initialize.

The issue may be due to the fact that the xembedsniproxy crashes quite
often.

[Bug 1556540] Re: System Settings->Digital Kamera Error occurred leaving orphaned control module

2016-05-12 Thread Tom Fields
I just now tested package "kamera" version 15.12.3-0ubuntu1.1 from the
xenail-proposed repository.

I can confirm that the bug present in version 15.12.3-0ubuntu1 is fixed
in 15.12.3-0ubuntu1.1.

Thank you for the quick response!

2016-05-12 Thread Ovidiu-Florin BOGDAN
Open Discover -> Burger menu (top right) -> Configure Sources ->
Configure Software Sources -> Updates tab -> Updates for proposed
software.

I hope I got the translations right.

Then do:
sudo apt update
sudo apt install libkf5networkmanagerqt6
sudo systemctl restart NetworkManager

Now go ahead and test creating a new connection or editing a connection.

[Bug 1530523] Re: kcm_driver_manager: Infinitely shows Collecting information

2016-05-12 Thread Carlo Vanini
There are multiple problems:

* DriverManager emits signal in the constructor, so it fails and nobody notices.
* The qaptFailed signal is not connected (wouldn't be received anyway, see
above)
* message "Collecting information..." would have hidden any error message

See attachment

Now, when it's stuck "Collecting information" try to run:
systemctl status dbus
if you see anything like
Activated service 'org.debian.AptXapianIndex' failed: Launch helper exited with
unknown return code 1
then it's Bug #1579834

[Bug 1580343] Re: Packages menu and menu-xdg are missing on fresh 16.04 Kubuntu installation

2016-05-12 Thread Philip Muškovac
Thank you for taking your time to report this bug and helping to make
Kubuntu better.

But.. this is intentional. We never shipped the debian menu packages (or at
least we haven't in a long time) as KDE has it's own application menu that
follows the Freedesktop specification for .desktop entries.
If newly installed applications that ship a .desktop file don't appear in
kickoff, then something might be going wrong with the application cache update
there. If that issue persists, please file another bug and name the missing
applications so we can investigate the problem further.
The reason why I'm marking this bug as Won't Fix though, is that Debian decided
to deprecate 'menu' and it will cease to exist in the future, see [1] for more
information.

charming in the way that cads can be when they\'re also talented, funny, and

typical indie rock neurosis comes off as refreshing rather that callous. Yoria
is soulful, but mostly at peace with hi

\"P.S.A.\" may be the most beguiling little ditty about masturbation ever

[Bug 1580604] Re: magnatune won't do anything

2016-05-12 Thread Myriam Schweingruber
I do not use Amarok 2.8.0 on 16.04, I use a local installation of
current git master, and Magnatune does certainly work well here, so this
is really a packaging problem of the distribution I would say.

[Bug 1569674] Re: [Kubuntu] Fail to connect to wifi after a recent update

2016-05-12 Thread Martin Pitt
Hello Avishay, or anyone else affected,

Accepted networkmanager-qt into xenial-proposed. The package will build
now and be available at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source
/networkmanager-qt/5.18.0-0ubuntu1.1 in a few hours, and then in the
-proposed repository.

Please help us by testing this new package. See
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how to
enable and use -proposed. Your feedback will aid us getting this update
out to other Ubuntu users.

If this package fixes the bug for you, please add a comment to this bug,
mentioning the version of the package you tested, and change the tag
from verification-needed to verification-done. If it does not fix the
bug for you, please add a comment stating that, and change the tag to
verification-failed. In either case, details of your testing will help
us make a better decision.

Further information regarding the verification process can be found at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam/PerformingSRUVerification . Thank you in
advance!

** Changed in: networkmanager-qt (Ubuntu Xenial)
Status: In Progress => Fix Committed

** Tags added: verification-needed

[Bug 1451728] Re: [master] kde-config-telepathy-accounts package install error

2016-05-12 Thread Alberto Mardegan
Hi Robert, this bug will definitely be fixed in the LTS 16.04, in a
future update. If you are using the Kubuntu PPA Scarlett has mentioned
before and you still get installation errors, the bug you want to follow
is bug 1565772 (which is also a candidate for being fixed as an LTS
update).
