[Bug 1762288] [NEW] cannot mount harddrive using device notifier

2018-04-08 Thread soundconjurer
Public bug reported:

When I try to mount an encrypted hard drive, the device notifier asks me
for a password. I input the password and it doesn't mount. It just tells
me it couldn't mount the hard drive. I then in terminal use cryptsetup
lukOpen and it mounts just fine.

Thus, this tool is broken.

[Bug 1759328] Re: plasmashell crash when changing deskop containment from 'folder view' to 'desktop'

2018-04-08 Thread Matt
You can add Kubuntu 17.10 with backports. A fresh install on 17.10
(with no backports) this does not happen.

Re: [Bug 1370416] Re: Security updates are not marked as security

2018-04-08 Thread Axel Beckert
Hi,

Rolf Leggewie wrote:

No, this has nothing to do with pinning at all.

This is a known issue with aptitude. Have a look at the function
is_security() in src/generic/apt/apt.cc: aptitude only regards as
security update if the repository is from security.debian.org or
security.*.debian.org, at least in Debian.

So I assume that Ubuntu patches those lines towards
security.ubuntu.com as used in his German sources.list.

But his "central" sources.list doesn't have security.ubuntu.com
anywhere. He uses e.g. "deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu
trusty-security main restricted" there. And hence it's not recognised.

I thought there was an upstream (Debian) bug report about that (as I
am aware of the issue :-), but I couldn't find it on a first glance.

Will file one and link it here.

Regards, Axel (with his aptitude hat on)

[Bug 1758726] Re: [Kubuntu 18.04] Blinks in title bar of the Brisa window decorator

2018-04-08 Thread YAFU
This problem I was having after waking up from suspend to RAM. Every time I
wake up the machine from sleeping to RAM I get the following message:
"Gestor de ventanas KWin
Desktop effects were restarted due to a graphics reset"

Related but in 16.04
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/kwin/+bug/1578083

Apparently currently blinks/flickers on decorator windows are gone, but
I still get that message every time I wake up from suspend to RAM.
