[Bug 1469049] Re: After update, icon stays in tray
Started seeing the same bug after upgrading to 18.04 LTS. It only happens when I have some "security" update(s), indicated by red icon color. After the updates are installed, the notification icon color changes to blue (indicating normal non-security updates) but icon stays in the tray, even though there is no further updates available. This notification icon can only be cleared by leaving the KDE session. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to muon in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1469049 Title: After update, icon stays in tray To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/muon/+bug/1469049/+subscriptions -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1070873] Re: kde-telepathy, impossible to connect to gmail accounts
ok scratch the part about the syntax error as I have fixed my PAC file. which leaves... you can encounter this problem if you have a proxy server configured. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to meta-kde-telepathy in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1070873 Title: kde-telepathy, impossible to connect to gmail accounts To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/meta-kde-telepathy/+bug/1070873/+subscriptions -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1070873] Re: kde-telepathy, impossible to connect to gmail accounts
I have discovered the cause for this. You are using a proxy with an autoconfiguration URL (PAC script) which has got a syntax error in it (as far as WebKit is concerned) When you run the add account it calls signon-ui and it segfaults because of this. If you use konqueror you may also experience problems. In my case, it takes a very long time to load pages, like almost a minute long. If you can, temporarily disable your proxy, or if you cannot connect without proxy, try manually setting the address of the proxy (not the PAC stript), for the duration of adding the account. Once the account has been added, signon-ui isn't needed, and the proxy settings can be re-instated. ** Attachment added: "backtrace" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/meta-kde-telepathy/+bug/1070873/+attachment/5140871/+files/bt -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to meta-kde-telepathy in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1070873 Title: kde-telepathy, impossible to connect to gmail accounts To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/meta-kde-telepathy/+bug/1070873/+subscriptions -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
