[Bug 39756] Adept doesn't stop waiting answers to question in case of error
Public bug reported: Affects: ept adept (Ubuntu) Severity: Normal Priority: (none set) Status: Unconfirmed Description: I have installed manually a package in dapper flight 6 (freepops 0.0.98), after that I have installed with adept a previous version of the same package (0.0.96). During updating to the previous version of the package a question occurs: if I want to overwrite the configuration file with the version that I was installing. However adept doesn't stop waiting for keyboard answer to this question, it aborts installation with generic error. The package probably is installed anyway, but the configuration file is still the old one. Making the same thing but installing all manually (right click on the deb file - install) it wait for answer. P.S.= Another small cosmetic bug is when in adept I press details to view what is doing, the first line that prints is divided in 3 lines. -- Adept doesn't stop waiting answers to question in case of error https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/39756 -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs

[Bug 39444] Changing an user's password can change another password for a different user
Public bug reported: Affects: kde-guidance (Ubuntu) Severity: Normal Priority: (none set) Status: Unconfirmed Description: To reproduce this bug you should have 2 or more users: - open Users and Groups from kde control center - type administrator password - open a user and change ONLY its password - click ok - open another user - as you can see there is the SAME password length typed for previous user - IF you press ONLY ok you have changed the password also for the second user, but typing it only once. This bug can confuse people that change a password and immediately open another user to change another option, if you click ok in the second user then you have changed password also for him without knowing. Next login you have two (or more it depends how many users you have opened and then clicked ok) with the same password. Confirmed in dapper with kde 3.5.2 -- Changing an user's password can change another password for a different user https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/39444 -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
