[Bug 1762163] Re: [Kubuntu 18.04]Device notifier pretends it cannot mount usb device while actually mounting it
This issue with mounting and displaying "Malformed URL" is still a problem with Kubuntu 18.04.4 LTS Bionic Beaver with all updates applied as of today (Feb 17, 2020). There is a confusing history of bug reports and patches for this issue, as follows: USB Drives Give Malformed URL From Device Notifier https://www.kubuntuforums.net/showthread.php/73500-USB-Drives-Give-Malformed-URL-From-Device-Notifier Plugging in usb drive gives malformed url from device notifer https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=391381 device notifier pretends it cannot mount usb device while actually mounting it https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=370975 Backport fix for 391706 into Frameworks 5.44 https://phabricator.kde.org/T9525 Backport automount fix into Bionic https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/solid/+bug/1762433 Backport fix for KDE bug 391706 into Frameworks 5.44 https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/solid/+bug/1789292 It would be helpful to myself and other kubuntu 18.04 users if the issue could be fixed soon. ** Bug watch added: KDE Bug Tracking System #391381 https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=391381 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to solid in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1762163 Title: [Kubuntu 18.04]Device notifier pretends it cannot mount usb device while actually mounting it To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/solid/+bug/1762163/+subscriptions -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1460784] Re: Application launcher places wine programs in Lost & Found after update to kubuntu 15.04
The problem still exists on Kubuntu 16.04. With a fresh install of Kubuntu 16.04, I proceeded to install wine with: sudo apt-get install wine After this completed, I noticed in the Application Menu that all of the wine apps were listed under "Lost & Found" instead of "Wine" as they should have been. The wine apps are: Browse C: Drive Configure Wine Notepad Uninstall Wine Software Winetricks When I install a windows application using wine, such as Adobe Digital Editions, the new menu entries also show up under "Lost & Found". I also tried pre-creating a "Wine" submenu at the top level with a "Programs" submenu beneath it before installing wine, but this made no difference. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to plasma-desktop in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1460784 Title: Application launcher places wine programs in Lost & Found after update to kubuntu 15.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/hundredpapercuts/+bug/1460784/+subscriptions -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
