[Bug 795699] [NEW] Desktop becomes crazy after switching from dual monitor to one monitor

2011-06-10 Thread Victor
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: kdebase-workspace

I use my notebook to work and give presentations, so I constantly connect and
disconnect external VGA or HDMI displays. I use KRandtray to configure my

can drag windows outside my display area, like if there where another monitor.

Jonathan, I'm not sure if it was ever an issue with Kubuntu (both I and

still exists in Ubuntu 9.10 as soon as it comes out. (I'd rather not
install a beta, since I need this machine for my work.)

[Bug 416818] [NEW] Change the way Arora recommends installing extra multimedia packages

2009-08-21 Thread Victor
Public bug reported:

I posted this on KDE brainstorm
(http://forum.kde.org/brainstorm.php#idea74928) and Arora bug tracker
(http://code.google.com/p/arora/issues/detail?id=596):

After installing Kubuntu 9.10 and KDE 4.3 and running Arora, Arora
recommends installing additional multimedia packages:
http://img517.imageshack.us/img517/562/1arorarecommends.png
Nice feature, but i would like to suggest to improve the way it does it.

http://img411.imageshack.us/img411/3374/2listpackages.png
Here it would be nice to have additional information about packages to
install. Now it just says For extra multimedia functionality select
restricted packages to be installed. It should mention that Arora asks for
this.

http://img517.imageshack.us/img517/3669/3packageinstall.png
As far as i understand here you cannot change much - this window is not
manageable. But if it is possible - again indicate that the packages which
are isntalling right now are restricted packages for Arora.

http://img517.imageshack.us/img517/2097/4sucessfullyinstalled.png[/img
And this window is really ugly. Again indicate what was successfully
installed.

After installing the packages and notifying about it there appears a
notification in system tray recommending to restart Arora to get new
functionality. I didn't manage to make screenshot - the notification closed
too fast (it would be nice to track history of notifications and jobs).
I think this notification should not appear if Arora is not running. And it
should say what kind of new functionality (new media packages) it is
talking about. But i would suggest to not make the notification. Rather put
this information in the window which notifies you about finishing
installing the packages:
http://img37.imageshack.us/img37/2097/4sucessfullyinstalled.png

[Bug 379426] Re: OpenOffice Writer makes KDE apps unresponsive after copying

2009-07-07 Thread Victor Gijsbers
Yes, I'm using Gnome (with the default window manager, not Compiz). My
version of kdelibs5 is 4:4.2.2-0ubuntu5 (the standard version in
Jaunty).

The bug remains reproducable on my machine, which has been updated with
all recommended upgrades for Jaunty.

[Bug 379519] [NEW] network manager inactive tabs accessible

2009-05-22 Thread Victor
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: plasma-widget-network-manager

I don't know is this network-manager's bug, or KDE's or Qt's. Here it is:
When i select 'Manage connections' clicking on plasma widget (Kubuntu 9.10, KDE
4.2.85 and earlier) a windows called 'Network Management - KDE Control Module'
appears (screenshot attached). In my case there are several inactive
(inaccessible) tabs: 'Wireless', 'Mobile broadband', 'DSL'. I cannot click on
them and make them active.
Still, if i put cursor on an active tab (for example, 'Wired' in my case) and
scroll the mouse whell i can access inactive tabs being able to edit wireless
conections and so on.

[Bug 135035] Re: kmail groupware IMAP directory language: only 4 available

2008-02-24 Thread Victor Sergienko
Yes, I have Hardy and it still has only four languages.

Sorry, I was unclear. Teh idea is that in KMail setup, Misc-Groupware-IMAP
resource folder, there are only 4 options for directory language.
It would be way better to choose specific folders for Calendar, Notes,
Resources etc.

[Bug 134888] kopete history plugin: contact context menu item

2007-08-26 Thread Victor Sergienko
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: kopete

Only contact list's context menu has history item. One could also be in:
- chat window's menu: Chat - contact - submenu
- somewhere more close, if the chat is always single-user: like adding a
Contact menu to Chat window.
