This is now fixed in lp:qtcreator-plugin-ubuntu, but not yet uploaded to saucy. So when using the SDK Release PPA, which equals to what we will have after the next upload, 'Ubuntu SDK' if found via both Software Center manually and on the Applications lens in Dash. ** Description changed: Having the need to install it on a new machine I noticed Unity Dash on the desktop doesn't consider Ubuntu SDK as an available application. I can only see QtCreator and it won't pull in the Ubuntu components plugin either.
