I can confirm the bug on two separate workstations. I just tried the sed fix but it will not run correctly, or so it seems. I can vouch for both the bug and Sebastien Bacher's solution. I'm surprised this wasn't made a blocker, but maybe KDE app usage isn't that popular amongst most GNOME users.
