 Hi,

I pushed translations to git this morning for the LibreOffice 3.5.1
rc1 release. I noticed that there were new strings. :( Fortunately not
many. I'm updating Pootle now. New templates are at
http://dev-www.libreoffice.org/l10n/ as usual. Also, please find there
the error logs from today, please fix bugs until the final release by
 next week.

 Thanks,
 Andras

If it makes technical sense and adds value to the project, you will be

At the LibreOffice conference in Paris, Andras did mention
conversion to gettext as a future possibility;

has there been any feedback from the devs about that ?

From what I've seen, there are other pending
restructurations of the codebase; another toolkit (GTK?),
simplification of icon locations, skinning, etc.

One at a time or one big surgery ?

Sveinn í Felli

Caolán also mentioned gettext in his FOSDEM 2012 presentation.

A started to write a program that converted po files to LibreOffice
resources. Unfortunately I did not finish it and I have not worked on it
since last summer. I also had a gettext patch but it had strange
character corruption issues and nodoby could tell why. So it was
dropped. I'm sure that Caolán's solution will be more robust. I'm not a
programmer after all. :)

Best regards,
Andras

[libreoffice-l10n] Default Settings

2012-02-25 Thread Michael Bauer
Is it possible to alter the default settings for individual locales? My
locale has particular problems with the default behaviour of apostrophes
and the settings for automatically capitalizing initials/lowercasing.

I can give details of course but before I write an essay, I wanted to
find out if that's possible :)

Cheers

Michael
