Re: [libreoffice-l10n] LibreOffice 4.1.1 - Same visualization problems in Italian version
Indeed. But this is a the same issue as https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=67227 2013/9/12 Valter Mura valterm...@libreoffice.org Hi All I've installed the new version of the program (4.1.1) in Windows, and the same problems there still remain: - in various dialogs the sentences are cut - in Options, some dialogs present bold characters, some (the most of them) don't and use the old style I think this bug is still open: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=64194 Ciao -- Valter Open Source is better! [libreoffice-l10n] translating LO guides
Hi, does anybody have experience with translation of LO guides from https://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/documentation/? I've tried to use OmegaT for that, but I've failed, because the xml code is 'polluted' by numerous useless tags (read below) which makes using translation software impossible. Perhaps a 'clean up' tool would help, but I do no know anything like that :( Milos Explanantion of the problem: For example, the sentence *Quickstarter is installed in the Windows system tray and is automatically loaded during system startup.* is displayed in the document without any formatting, using just the the Default character style In OmegaT, however, it is displayed like this: *f10Quickstarter is installed in /f10f11the Windows system tray**/f11f12and is automatically loaded /f12f13during system startup.** **/f13* (fxx are tag replacements and should not be touched.) This suggests that there are some tags inside this sentence, in spite the fact that I do not see any. Really, in the content.xml file inside the document we can see them: *text:span text:style-name=T65Quickstarter is installed in** **/text:spantext:span text:style-name=T21the Windows system tray** **/text:spantext:span text:style-name=T65and is automatically loaded** **/text:spantext:span text:style-name=T21during system startup.** **/text:span*/** * These tags in fact do not mean anything meaningful: *style:style style:name=T21**style:family=textstyle:text-properties fo:language=en**fo:country=GB//style:style*** * -- email jabber: sramek.mi...@gmail.com -- To unsubscribe e-mail to: l10n+unsubscr...@global.libreoffice.org Problems? http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/ Posting guidelines + more: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/global/l10n/ All messages sent to this list will be publicly archived and cannot be deleted

I've made a try with converting to xliff format but I missed feedback to know if it works really for all languages. In the FR project, we translate them without any help of translation software, we use LO and the glossary. For information, I've nearly finished to translate the Writer FAQ and will go on with Calc. It's good mid-time between help files and guides, requesting less efforts than the later. https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Faq Cheers Sophie -- To unsubscribe e-mail to: l10n+unsubscr...@global.libreoffice.org Problems? http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/ Posting guidelines + more: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/global/l10n/ All messages sent to this list will be publicly archived and cannot be deleted
