They're independent of the actual function names, though some look

 NC_("SCSTR_DPFUNCLISTBOX", "StDevP (Population)"),
 NC_("SCSTR_DPFUNCLISTBOX", "Var (Sample)"),
 NC_("SCSTR_DPFUNCLISTBOX", "VarP (Population)")

(that's in master, in 5.4 it's a StringArray SCSTR_DPFUNCLISTBOX with
ItemList

Oh, I see. Thanks!.

This will help me re-check all of them again in Pootle.

Hi everyone,

OK, here's a version made in LibreOffice Draw:

Just let me know if you need anything else!

Re: [libreoffice-l10n] TDF donations infographic for translation

2017-09-11 Thread Sveinn í Felli

Hi,

Just tested the files; the PDF can be opened in Draw without much damage
(just a little justification problem in the topmost text).

I guess the *version* of the Vegur font-file matters a bit.
Oh, and the second-last line is in a font called Vegurular ???

Also opened the SLA in Scribus 1.5.2svn, the last line
(www.libreoffice.org/donate/) is truncated. Again quite possible that
font parameters have evolved, either in Scribus or in the Vegur font.

IMHO I think that normal translators should not be asked to use highly
specialized (newbie unfriendly) software like Scribus - rather we should
encourage folks to use the LibreOffice applications as much as possible.

For me, Draw is just fine...

Best regards,
Sveinn í Felli

Ah yes, sorry, I should've mentioned that I used Scribus 1.5.3. It is
the development branch, but the wiki says:

"Scribus 1.5.3 is very fast and has been thoroughly tested. Generally,
everything that works reliably in 1.4.x also works in 1.5.3"

If there's demand, I could remake it in Draw of course!

Mike

It's not about not trusting Scribus 1.5.3 but rather that lot of long
term supported distributions are based upon Debian stable and lot of
them will have Scribus 1.4. Installing from source is scary for majority
of users and that majority will run 1.4.6.

If you think Scribus is better suited for this job, is it possible for
you to install 1.4.6 and redo it in Scribus 1.4.6 rather then Draw?

But Draw should work too.

Yes, that makes sense. I installed both in parallel and hoped I could
paste from one into the other, but 1.4.6 has serious problems trying to
handle the content: http://i.imgur.com/Zhdp44m.png

So it looks like I'll have to remake it from scratch...

Scribus 1.4.6 can't open the file with message:

LO_donate_infographic.sla is not in an acceptable format
The file may be damaged or may have been produced in a later version of Scribus.

This version of Scribus is in repository of Debian Stretch.

Think that 1.4.x is stable branch and 1.5.x is developement branch.

Note that the fonts required are Vegur (bold and normal). German
speakers: I'll do a German translation today, and then post it to the
DE-discuss list for feedback.

For native language communities using the infographic, apparently Monday
is the day when people are more likely to spend online -- just something
to take into account!

Thanks,
