Oh sure, sorry ;) Technically it was not wrong - I meant to say that the
situation is much more complex and the idea, in our community, is that
we credit all who contributed to a certain topic, not just the board ;)

I already activated Android-viewer project per request of Kees.

Good to read that the misunderstanding is resolved now.

I don't know anything about repo's. I have one Weblate, where I
translate UI, Help and so on. There I also see the other items and they
are locked.

AH, if you look at Weblate, you see projects. There is a project
Android-Viewer. I think you should be able to translate that, just as
the others. If that doesn't work for you, it needs to be find out why ;)

Android-Viewer is separate from LibreOffice online that is in attic state.

Happy Christmas :)

They can't be enabled because it corresponds to LibreOffice online,
which by decision of the Board of Directors, had its development and
translations frozen.

See the decision here:
https://community.documentfoundation.org/t/vote-libreoffice-online-repository-and-translations/8893/15?u=sophi

I think that is not a correct explanation of the situation, Sophie
(although I can imagine that various posts in that topic you mention,
give such an impression, unfortunately). The work on the repository
itself was frozen, due to lack of interest, the ESC and the board
confirmed that, according to the attic policy(1).

If it would be true that these strings cannot be translated, it should
of course be fixed.

"Displays the distance between the top edge of a label or a business

defining a custom format, enter a value here."
found in Help-master / text/shared/01. Context 01010202.xhp
par_id3152425 help.text

Do you have the dialog at hand> File > New > Labels or Business Cards?
Then tab Format > Vertical Pitch.
I think the help should read:
" Displays the distance between the.. of the label or the business

Is it the top edge of a label and the top edge of another label? Perhaps
a label and the next label? Or something else?

Your 2nd one.

it is great that there is now a solution to invoke Calc-Function names

program that extracts out of the files the strings. It creates one
CSV-File per language where a file with strings for Calc-Functions
exists. You can find the CSV-Files and the program at this page.

That's really nice. Thanks!

From my point of view it is great if it is possible to copy a function
example from a Wikipage or a documentation page into calc. In Germany

Yep!

usually the semicolon is the separator and in other countries it is the
comma in functions.
For strings there are also different characters

used. It is the " and the '. Does the separator depend on the language
version or on the settings of a user.

Separator can be set in Options > LibreOffice Calc > Formula.

And the string indicator, must indeed be from the locale. See Options >
Language Settings > Languages.

version or on the settings of a user. Im working since more than two
years at program that converts Spreadsheetfunctions into source code.

With this program if only parts of it are used it is also possible to
transfer a function from one language into another one and changing
through that the separator of function arguments and for strings and
also the notation for a cell from the A1-Format where a cell address
consists out of letters and number into a R1C1-Format where the column
and the row are numbers. Replacing is propably for the examples accurate
enough but it is theoretically possible that a string contains a name
that is also a function name. What will you do with the mentioned cases
where separators are different depending on a criteria I dont know yet.
Will this be a local translation work or is there a possibility to find
it out depending on the language and create a automatically solution to
use the most common one.

In any case, checking the Calc options must be interesting, I think.
Maybe some relevant are hidden under Options > LibreOffice > Advanced >
Expert Configuration?

Good that you put this forward. I think also the infoGraph that

Oh yes, I can confirm that. File is corrupted. After downloading, an

I downloaded 03HvCLO062-Handleiding voor Calc.odt and it opens fine.
Also on the server.. no problem.

Picked on other file, that opened fine too.

Neither do I :)

Possibly a temporary hick up ?

The idea is to contribute to Weblate to make it outstanding, or at least
very good, for our use. So I assume this feature should be on that list.

Maybe after the discussions on the conference here in Almería, Spain
(delay on the airport, so still in Almería ;) ) there can be some info
on the plans, possible time paths and such?

After login I land on https://www.libreoffice.org/admin/pages

Can it be that you had a different mail address for Silverstripe than
for the single sign on account? In that case you should be able to add
it in the settings, and then Guilhem (CC)/* has to run a script to make
sure that the address is known at the places needed.

[libreoffice-l10n] correct Ctrl+Shift <> Shift+Ctrl ?

2018-10-02 Thread Cor Nouws
Hi all,

When creating a piece of new Help text, I saw that the sequence of key
combinations in Help is not consequent.

For example this page

https://help.libreoffice.org/6.1/en-US/text/scalc/04/0102.html?=CALC=UNIX
I would expect Ctrl+Shift to be used consequent.

I can see the current situation as either funny or sloppy.
Correcting would of course show 'new' strings to translate.

Opinions?

Most liked are the designs of September 2017 and June 2017
(the latter can maybe benefit from some adapted
   Document sign/placement at the left).

English OK here.

Numbers just in The Netherlands & Flanders: a hundred or so per year.

Hope that helps & greetings,

Can we have an idea when it may be done, or?

And, with the translation of ask.libreoffice.org at transifex, it's
obvious that a huge part of the strings is fir site admins. Makes little
sense to translate that in Dutch.
Difficult question maybe: is there a way to distinct between strings for
the user and the rest??

String:

Though we're not fully done with the translation, I think what we have

So info on how do we push the current state (and updates later) is much
appreciated,

Thanks a lot for investigating and reporting your solution here.
We don't have the same problem in the Dutch version of LibreOffice.
However I remember an issue where you reported a similar/related problem
with headings.

In the previous version all sort of details could be seen over many

A problem indeed. For me the simple solution is to stick with the old

I could find info on where to download/upload PO files. The wiki pages

Also: can po files for parts of the project be downloaded? I guess it's

No another mail in the archive
  http://www.mail-archive.com/l10n@global.libreoffice.org/msg09489.html
learns that we can use smthing as
  https://translations.documentfoundation.org/export/?path=/nl/libo_ui/

Where on the wiki or ... should we have seen that?

We can split that into separate po files, I guess?
(I've read a reference to separate files somewhere..)

And it is correct that we must use the program Pomerge
  http://translate-toolkit.readthedocs.io/en/latest/commands/pomerge.html
to upload the translated files?

And working with more people simultaneously on the same file is not
possible, I guess?

Thanks!

[libreoffice-l10n] Translating without Pootle WAS Translating without Pottle

2016-10-22 Thread Cor Nouws
Hi all,

MENGUAL Jean-Philippe wrote on 22-08-16 16:27:

I've spent some time looking at pootle, wiki and mail list archives...

I do see

https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Translating_LibreOffice#POT_and_PO_files
pointing too
  http://dev-www.libreoffice.org/l10n/latest-pot/
but you typically don't want to work on latest po files, but the files
from your project..

This page

https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UI_and_Help_files_Content_Guide#Search_and_manage_.po_files
gives neat tips, but not what we are looking for now..

The guide
  https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/PootleGuide
mentions a tip, but I can't find it on the current Pootle - maybe it's
for the older Pootle version?

So, can someone point to what did we not see so far?

thanks!
Cor

Interesting.
If I interpret that correct, Dutch should be "#,##0%"
However, "Taalunie" (language 'authority') says, based on ISO, that for
Dutch a space before percent is official, although without space is
acceptable in non technical use.

The term applies to a document, or a part of the content of a document.
Implemented is the marking of the classification in the file structure
and in the visual document.

> What is being classified? A document or a signature?

The document. Adding signatures is to make it trusted.

From what I understood there is one (or more?) add-ons for Microsoft

I will work on more info next week.

There is work ongoing to implement the possibility to apply and use
secure and trusted classification in LibreOffice.
Recently Miklos wrote some blog about this:
 http://vmiklos.hu/blog/libreoffice-signature-descriptions.html
 http://vmiklos.hu/blog/libreoffice-sha256-signatures.html
 http://vmiklos.hu/blog/ooxml-signature-import.html

As you can read, the work is sponsored by the Dutch Ministry of Defense.
If you use a recent master, in Writer, Calc and Impress there is the
toolbar Classification.
In the Paths options there is classification too.
There will be more documentation about this.

Cor

[libreoffice-l10n] change in 5.0.0 release notes

2015-08-02 Thread Cor Nouws
Hi,

Since probably people around the globe want up to date translated
release notes this Wednesday, a heads up that a little explanation on
the change in the user profile path is added.
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/ReleaseNotes/5.0#User_settings_-_location_of_the_user_profile

Cheers,
Cor
