Re: [libreoffice-l10n] Pootle is now down
As a translator, I think that easily accessible and stable translation service is more important than what the service platform is run on. If we are keeping encountering problems like this, I suggest cooperate with Transifex.net service. They have done a very stable translation platform. Furthermore, many open source projects also cooperate with them, including Fedora, Mageia, MeeGo, xfce. For example, transifex does not support ts file (Qt translation) before version 1.0. When MeeGo project decides to use Qt as their main toolkit, Transifex.net developed that feature for MeeGo in 1.0 version. And now it is quite easy to translate MeeGo on Transifex.net. I believe Transifex.net will happily to cooperate with LibreOffice too. So if we cannot get Pootle server running well all the time, please consider use other ways or platforms to provide better service for tranlstors. -- Sincerely, by Cheng-Chia Tseng -- Unsubscribe instructions: E-mail to l10n+h...@global.libreoffice.org Posting guidelines + more: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/global/l10n/ All messages sent to this list will be publicly archived and cannot be deleted

[libreoffice-l10n] Pootle is now down
At least it has been for me for all of today. Someone *please* tell me this isn't going to go phut like OO? Michael Sorry, but you really need to be more specific. What exactly do you mean with inaccessible, when exactly did it happen, what kind of action did you try to perform,.. Apart from that: The ~4minutes every three hours when the backup is created still applies to that server. During that time, requests may take long to complete because the database is locked. ciao Christian -- *Akerbeltz* Goireasan Gàidhlig air an lìon Fòn: +44-141-946 4437 Facs: +44-141-945 2701 *Am Faclair Beag http://www.faclair.com/ ◦ Akerbeltz http://www.akerbeltz.org ◦ Firefox sa Ghàidhlig http://www.mozilla.com/gd/ ◦ Thunderbird sa Ghàidhlig http://www.mozillamessaging.com/gd/thunderbird/ ◦ Opera 11 sa Ghàidhlig http://www.opera.com/* -- Unsubscribe instructions: E-mail to l10n+h...@global.libreoffice.org Posting guidelines + more: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/global/l10n/ All messages sent to this list will be publicly archived and cannot be deleted
Re: [libreoffice-l10n] Pootle is now down
Hi, I have asked one of our sysops. Our pootle server at http://translations.documentfoundation.org is actually down for a scheduled maintenance. It will be back in approx. two hours. Thanks for your patience. Volker 2011/6/20 Michael Bauer f...@akerbeltz.org: At least it has been for me for all of today. Someone *please* tell me this isn't going to go phut like OO?
