Yesterday I put new SDF/POT files online.
http://ftp.fsf.hu/LibreOffice/latest-POT/
http://ftp.fsf.hu/LibreOffice/latest-SDF/

By this morning Pootle update is done for help, it is still running for
the UI. But please note, that if you do nothing, then you are still
fine, because the URLs have been replaced in git with a sed script. This
Pootle update serves no other purpose than to sync source and Pootle
again. So don't panic, if you don't have time to work on 3.4
translations this weekend.

Best regards,
Andras

Thanks. You should note, that that KeyID build
can't be used directly on some systems:

$ ldd -r libpyuno.so
ldd: warning: you do not have execution

undefined symbol: PyUnicodeUCS4_DecodeUTF8

undefined symbol: PyUnicodeUCS4_FromUnicode
(./libpyuno.so)
undefined symbol: PyUnicodeUCS4_AsUTF8String

...

So I had to substitute the libpyuno.so for the
one from today's 3.4.4 build.

Also, is there a possibility to have two
instances of LibO from different installations
(e.g., 3.4.4 and KeyID), running simultaneously?
Right now if I have one running, starting
another just activates the already running
instance. Bit of a bother.

Hi Andras,

Typical installation does not offer language selection. It selects and
installs languages supported by the system. On a typical Windows
installation it is one language, I presume it is English (UK) in your
case.
Not again, I absolutely *detest* that "function" >.< Yes, I'm on English
(UK)... given that a large % of LO localisations won't have localised
operating systems, that is sheer lunacy... But at least I now know.
yet more tech support work coming my way.

It is doable but risky, and we don't have a second chance to correct
it for 3.4.4. Accelerator removing scripts are untested.
I'll have another look then. I think a few locales used scripts to
remove theirs - could someone let me know how that turned out in the end?

There will be an rc2, because there were Windows build fixes and other
last minute patches were coming in. I'll check Pootle for updates on
October 30, Sunday evening.

Ah ok, so I'll implement the spelling corrections in Pootle.

Many thanks - and sorry about the moan above, but that increasingly
common "feature" really does my head in.

Re: [libreoffice-l10n] [ANN] LibreOffice 3.4.4 RC1 available

2011-10-27 Thread Michael Bauer

I'm a dunce >.< thanks, got it.

Ok, I have a slack handful of questions. But first of all, overall I'm
happy with it to go live - there are small linguistic things to tweak
but nothing that affects overall functionality and workability.

1) I had to choose Custom Install, then select Gaelic (gd) as an
additional language. If I choose Typical, then I don't get a language
choice. Is this because this is a rc and not the full blow thing or
should Typical installation not offer the interface language during
installation?

2) The accelerators are a bit of a mess and putting them right would be
a bit of a fruitless task, methinks, especially since it's rarely easy
to tell which string is which. I followed the thread about those and I
jotted down the code, but I don't trust myself with code of that
complexity given my lack of programming skills. Is there any chance of
someone stripping those from all the gd files?

I considered leaving it till after but given that nobody really is used
to certain combinations at the moment, I reckon it would be better for
continuity to change them before.

If that's not doable at all, I don't consider it an issue critical
enough not to go with the 8 Nov though.

3) Sort of related to 2). At which point should I start/stop correcting
those in relation to 8 Nov? Or in other terms, if I change a type now,
will it affect what's in the release? Or would it be better to wait
until after?
