[lace] Re: Bishop's Cope

2006-09-11 Thread Ilske Thomsen

Hello Clay,

Still, I think we'll all agree... if this is a cape, and not a cope,
it is a fine one at that, and none the less stunning for it's
mis-identification.

Yes I do, it's a wonderful work

RE: [lace] Embroiderers' Guild (UK) 100th Birthday

2006-09-11 Thread Annette Meldrum
Jeri,
I made enquiries and discovered that the NSW Guild sent a letter of
congratulations in which we said how much we valued the connection and a
piece of ribbon work by Heather Joynes, (one of our long term members)
called Greetings from Australia'. We received a lovely letter of thanks
saying that it had been hung in the visitors room here at the Palace' where
it would be seen by all.

Dear Lacemakers,

We are into the last third of 2006, and I do not recall any lace@arachne.com

acknowledgement of the 100th Birthday of the Embroiderers' Guild (UK).

[lace] trying to locate a german book

2006-09-11 Thread Dianne Nicholson
I am wondering if one of our german lacers can help me locate a copy
of the following book. It was published in 2000 and I can find
several references to it but I am not sure where I can obtain a
copy. Assistance greatly appreciated.

Dresdner Spitzen - Point de Saxe. Ruth Bleckwenn, Dresden.

Does anyone know if the museum still has a copy?

Thanks,
Dianne
