Jeanette,
We are so pleased your card actually arrived from Lin. She was concerned about
it's arrival and know she is very happy today knowing it arrived safely.
Thank you for not opting out. Know this is a very nice ending to your postal
strike. We hope you will join in again.

Those of you living in countries with good postal services, should
appreciate the service thoroughly! We had a postal strike lasting several
months in South Africa last year. I have always taken part in the Christmas
card exchange and last year contemplated withdrawing from the exchange due
to the strike. I was paired with Lin Hudren who patiently waited until the
strike was over and posted her card on 10 Dec from Nevada in the USA but
there was no sign of the card arriving here. I had all but given up hope
when the card suddenly arrived today - a double surprise - first the
surprise of the card finally arriving and then the surprise of seeing the
beautiful card in the flesh!! My card to her?? Fortunately a friend's
son came visiting from the USA and took my card with and posted it in the
USA! A happy ending eventually!
